I've been here a few times and no time has been short of great. On Wednesdays, they have half of bottles of wine and I mean you can't go wrong with that! My sister and I ordered a bottle of Moscato as our wine option. Then we decided to get the veggie flatbread. It's great because it doesn't have like regular veggies, interesting combination but soooo gooddd!! My sister got the catch of the day which was some lobster with i think a curry based sauce and some basmati rice. I got the salmon entree. Food was amazing, which didn't surprise me because it's been great every time I've been there. The ambience is smooth and calm. I like it. Can be kinda cold but just dress warm (i guess typical for restaurants huh?). So last night our original server was Ernesto but he was kind if busy. I believe the manager stepped in during these gaps and he brought the wine, ensured we got apps, took our main order...and honestly he is who we both remember. We appreciate him stepping in, ensuring that great customer service was given. And i know he doesn't remember me but I was here before and the sameee things happened! Our server was swamped and he stepped in that time too! I forget his name =( I normally bank on my receipt to remember the names but it has the originals servers name on it. But this shows why the place probably flows so smoothly because there is a strong lead presence. I really appreciate it. Also, if you plan to visit soon check groupon- they had a good deal that could definitely make a good visit great. Again great food, prices reflect quality, and they have HH all night on Mondays. It's on H street so street parking, may have to...

Let me start by saying we LOVE the Milk and Honey in college park. Every time we’ve gone there the food has been amazing. unfortunately we live in DC, so it’s a bit of a drive. Today it was raining and there was a hour of traffic so we decided to check out Milk and Honey Express which was only 8 mins away from us. Based on our experiences at their main restaurant we had high expectations.

What we ordered: Catfish dinner (3.5/5 ⭐️) the fish was actually quite good. two big pieces. Battered well and cooked well. Very moist. No sauce, no gravy, nothing else with it. It came with two sides but the only two sides they had available out of the 7 options was candied yams (3/5 ⭐️) and the Mac and cheese (2/5 ⭐️)which were mediocre at best.

Honey old bay wings (0.5/5 ⭐️) - these were the biggest disappointment. Made from The smallest chickens on earth apparently. They were dry, didn’t taste like old bay, and had ZERO HONEY. none. For a place that’s called milk and honey, and for 16$, I would have expected at least a bit on their honey old bay wings. Terrible wings. Will post pics.

Ambiance - it’s a carry out so I didn’t expect much. pretty dead inside. The staff looked like they didn’t wanna be there. they gave us some free cups for whatever drinks we wanted which was nice. floors were kinda dirty. The atmosphere was pretty gloomy to say the least. Only diners there.

Overall: should have driven the hour it would have taken us to get to the one in College Park. Wouldn’t recommend this one to a friend. Pretty disappointed bc we LOVE...

I’m extremely disappointed in todays order. As you can see I ordered a bacon, egg and biscuits without cheese. As you can see I ended up with an egg and cheese biscuit. I called to let the individual know and their attitude was less than apologetic. He claims he will refund me my money but time will tell. If not I will refer to this rating and talk to management. The ticket clearly shows no cheese twice due to an allergy. There is no way I can eat around the sandwich. Please do better bc being rude and wrong just adds to a customers frustration. Staff members really need to learn how to do damage control when someone in the kitchen is cooking but can’t read. A real apology for wasting my time by driving in the rain and fighting DC traffic would have been nice. Instead I got “I’ll refund your money” and then a hang up. For this reason I’ve rated 1 star. Something needs to change as I’m a very reasonable person and give businesses much grace. I’ve even give. This restaurant grace and continue to support but today I draw the line. Attitude nasty and being wrong is just crazy

July 1, 2023 I’m back with another review, I’ve changed my rating from 1 star to 4 star because upon picking up my order today, the food was correct, cashier was pleasant and handed me my food with a smile. Having a business with a lot of traffic can be challenging but at the end of the day, people want to walk into a restaurant that’s inviting, understanding of their customers needs and overall pleasant and today I received that. Thanks...

Stopped by for breakfast one weekday a few weeks ago. It was my first time at Milk & Honey - it's been on my list for a while so I was excited to check it out. Overall great food and great experience. Here are my takeaways: Environment Small restaurant located on H Street - it is more situated for take out but does have some seating if you choose to eat in. The time we went it wasn't busy at all which I hear doesn't happen often so it was pretty relaxed and low key. Service The service was easy - you walk up, look over the menu, order at the counter and wait for your food. They prepare the food in to go boxes (so no nice silverware or plates) but you're more than welcome to stay and dine in. It comes in handy when you don't finish your food and need to head out - you have everything you need already! Overall really nice and clean space with a warm ambiance. Food and Drinks The food was amazing. I absolutely loved the crab cake benedict. The crab was well seasoned and all the flavors came together well. The fish and grits were really good as well - grits were savory and creamy and the fish was cooked really well. I will definitely try other items on the menu. Overall Wonderful small space with great food. Mostly order to go but feel free to stay around and enjoy your meal. Loved the food and will definitely be back for more.
