Ashley Store — Local services in Washington

This was the first time my wife and I had been to an Ashley Furniture store and we left very impressed. Our sales woman was Laura and she immediately greeted us with a warm welcome. We went into the store with a general idea of what we were looking for and she helped us find it right off the bat. Laura is by for the least pushy salesperson I’ve ever encountered when shopping, gave us plenty of space to wander, and anytime I had a question she either had the answer or got the answer from management so that I got the information I needed. My husband and I initially went to Mattress Direct in Washington MO. We ended up ordering a Beauty Rest bed and we needed it pretty soon. We were told 4 to 6 weeks TOPS. 7 months later, we still never got our bed. They could never give us a reason why they didn’t have it. So then - we went to Ashley’s in Washington. They were awesome! Super nice. Not pushy. Very knowledgeable. We ended up ordering the same exact bed that we ordered at Mattress Direct. Ashley’s told us we would have our bed in 4 weeks and actually got it to us in 3 weeks! I can’t believe we waited 7 months for Mattress Direct and ended up cancelling that order. Sales representatives and personnel inside of the store were fantastic and helpful. Purchased roughly $7000 worth of furniture only to be given a different delivery date on multiple occasions. Logistics does not fall under the personnel at this location so I do not fault them for that. However, after 3 different shipping dates I grew exhausted with waiting for my furniture to be delivered and canceled my order. I understand that logistics can be the Achilles heel when providing a service based upon supply and demand, recommend purchasing furniture and mattresses that are actually in stock to avoid a month plus wait.
