I went to my first in-person yoga class today in 3.5 years at Circle Yoga. I was a little nervous because it had been so long and my body is very different than the last time I practiced (I've had 2 babies since then + the pandemic happened!) Also, I realized on my way there that I had forgotten to bring a mask.
From the moment I walked in, everyone at Circle Yoga made me feel confident and welcome. The person at the front desk quickly checked me in and gave me a disposable mask. The class itself was 75 minutes. At first I thought it was a little slow (lots of stretching), but it heated up and I was sweating by the end. The teachers are very professional, the atmosphere is relaxed and supportive, and the class offerings are varied and thorough. I've tried yoga classes in a number of studios in the DC metro area, and I enjoy this one the most because the focus is on what's best for you as opposed to being a competitive yoga environment. There is an especially genuine caring atmosphere at Circle to help find our own body rhythms and mental well being. Each teacher has a unique method and gift.
