Total Release Reflexology — Local services in Washington

This was my second time at the office. Both times I had a female masseuse. I don't think it was the same lady but after the massage I asked her if she does deep tissue and tried to explain that I have back pain needs a deeper. She did not seem to understand what I was trying to say, but said next time. I did not enjoy the massage it was more a light rub, but I tipped. The lady then sighed and spoke very clearly stating that it was a 1 hour massage, pointing to a sheet that had the suggested tip $15-25 for a hour. She was very verbal and pushy. I repeated that I didn't enjoy the massage, she raised her hand, as in, talk to the hand and walked away. At this point, I was so tempted to scratch out the tip....

Got a really lazy massage (she only focused for any length of time on super easy things to do, like squeezing my arms, pressing lightly on my scalp). It was 90 minutes for 92 dollars. I left a 20 dollar tip which is over 20% and seemed decent even if it hadn't been a bad massage. When I gave her the tip she looked really upset and pointed to a sign that said the suggested tip for an hour and a half massage was 20-30. Whi the hell is gonna tip 33%? Maybe if it had been a life-changing massage but it was more like a glorified...

This place is easy to overlook with all the other places to visit and things to do in Chevy Chase, but your body will love you if you make the effort to seek out a massage from Total Release. You walk in the door to a tranquil waiting room that offers a welcome respite from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
