Jetties — Restaurant in Washington

The food is great, but the service was meh. I arrived and the counter lady was out front sweeping leaves. I went in and waited a few moments. She did eventually come in but did not seemed rushed or motivated. No one was in line so I ordered. I had a coffee with my order. I told the lady behind the counter the coffee was out when I went to go fill it. She acknowledged me but took a long time to start a new pot. She did attend to a few customers which I didn't mind, but she ended up going outside to get the trash can before starting the pot. Apparently she was sweeping the leaves into the trash can that goes next to the soda fountain. I assume she had to put the used coffee filter in the trash before she started the new pot. It dawned on me after I filled my cup that she did NOT wash her hands after touching the trash can before finishing making the pot. Needless to say, my 2 sandwiches were finished before the pot of coffee was finished and I still had to wait the 2+ mins for the pot to finish. I normally don't complain about these things, but her relatively lackadaisical attitude bothered me a little. I get that it's a Sunday and they weren't busy, but at least act like you want to help... and for goodness sake... WASH your hands. My friend and I decided to satisfy our sweet tooth after visiting a local restaurant near by. We stood there like buffoons for 7 1/2 minutes while two workers wouldn’t even look up from the back. After aimlessly standing at the ice cream window, an employee finally informed us that they only allow customers to use the tablet to place an order. This was absurd, as we were literally the only people standing in the store and we couldn’t even place our order by word of mouth when an employe was obviously able to take our order. Finally, we placed it only to be informed AFTER ordering that they didn’t sell the ice cream sundae we ORDERED. To think that all could have been avoided if we just told her what we wanted on the first place filled me with displeasure. After getting our ice cream, my friends spoon abruptly snapped in half while consuming her “delectable” treat. Not to mention the ice cream was served to her in a flimsy plastic water cup. The ice-cream gets 4 stars from me, but the atmosphere of the store was filled with boxes causing us to think the store was closed until we opened the door… and the service has already been explained. Today, on or about 4:30pm, I walked in and wanted to place an order from the kids menu. The woman at the counter gave me the blue kids menu to fill out. I said I would like the mac and cheese and the meatballs. She said, it comes with two sides pick your sides. So, I selected the hummus and cucumber. I gave her my credit card, she said 22.00. I was surprised for a kids mac and cheese and meatball that comes with “two sides.” The blue menu has a price of 8.99? I said how can this be 22.00? Then I looked at the menu board above the register is reads 9.99. I asked for my credit card back and left the store. I don’t know if someone is looking for extra cash from customers or what.
