I went there to sell some Pokémon cards. Haven’t been collecting in about 10 years so I really didn’t know much about pricing for selling or buying (so this post is not about the price he gave me). Had about 400 or so cards with me at the time. I stood at the counter for about 10 minutes before I was even acknowledged. I was then asked how I could be helped, I asked if they bought cards at the shop, he said yes the proceeded to help the customer behind me in line first. Then went back to his computer for another 5 or so minutes just to tell me the stack of cards I had been standing there with for a solid 15 minutes was worth $2. I then told him I wasn’t interested and he helped my roommates who were there with me buy some Magic cards. I then told him I had two quick questions about cards I had at home and had started my first question, he then turned around and started talking to the other guy behind the counter and completely ignored me after acknowledging that he would answer my questions. I stood at the counter for another minute or so to finish at least asking my question and before even answering he proceeded to talk to the group of people behind me calling me snobby in a sense that all Pokémon collectors think that their cards are perfect, when my question was just how would I find the price range on cards like that. He didn’t even let me finish asking my question before he ignored me to essentially mock me in front of his customers. This store will not be getting my business ever again I’ve never been treated like that by an employee anywhere and I certainly have never been mocked openly in a place of business by the employee. This is genuinely ridiculous and I hope that man sees this review because you don’t treat customers or people on...
Read moreThis game store had a fantastic selection of Pokémon cards, including newer and vintage editions as well as Japanese prints, that I haven't come across at other stores. They also seemed to have a lot of Magic cards and a selection of tabletop RPGs. The staff was at the tables playing DND when we arrived, and they seemed like good guys, but they did not give my son quite the attention he was looking for at the counter so I almost gave them 4 stars. However, they did hand us binders of lower price point cards (for my wallet's benefit) so they seem to have experience with kids and I'm giving them benefit of the doubt that maybe it was an off night. They had a selection of vintage video game merchandise, consoles, and games as well. We liked this shop better than many others where we live in St Louis. Will be sure to...
Read moreI Met the owner at the local flea market, great guy. He manages his business with both passion and respect. Most things are priced well. Great place to play Magic the Gathering, Pokémon, DND and other tabletop games with friends. They also buy cards, video games(some), and collectors items for store credit and I think cash (you would have to get something the owner himself wants as the store doesn’t do cash if I’m not mistaken)they also do a Pokémon and magic league weekly. If it wasn’t so far from me I would go a lot more. It has some great people. I will be doing some videos on my YT about Go to nerd shops in the Midwest and this will be on there soon if you want more...
