We were recently in Washington to visit family and one of their highly recommended spots was Neighborhood Reads. We loved it. My kids are 2 and 4 and the owners/employees were super patient and kind as my kids took forever to choose their books and stuffed animals. We ended up going back again the day before we left so I could pick up a few Christmas gifts. I love to be able to support a small shop and I found the pricing to be competitive, which was appreciated. The shop itself is also so welcoming and cute. I wish we could have stayed longer and attended a story time. I even bought a Neighborhood Reads tote bag I liked the shop so much. :)

A perfect place to pick up a good book. We stopped by this shop today and it did not disappoint. More than books, Neighborhood Reads had pens, journals, bookmarks, puzzles, stuffed toys, fun kitchen items, and many other things. On our way out children were congregating for a Saturday event. It's heartwarming to see kids excited at a bookstore. Next time we're in the area we will stop in again. Read on, my friends.

I just found the bookshop of my dreams! We were fortunate to visit it during book festival, when they hosted story times read by the authors in their cute and cozy backyard šŸ˜But I was told they they have story times every Saturday, I believe. I highly recommend visiting and supporting such wonderful place!

Neighborhood Reads is a little gem of a bookstore in Washington, MO. They have a very good selection of bestsellers and new books for every age level and genre, as well as some you probably never heard of that can introduce you to new authors you never knew you would love. They also have a fun selection of bookish gifts, puzzles, and games. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Not convinced? Well, purchases earn you credit for future use. They support local community literacy projects and causes. Their online order system is easy to use. On top of all that, you can get audiobooks through Libro.fm or ebooks through Bookshop.org and still support Neighborhood Reads.

If you get a chance, stop by. It's well worth a...

A coworker told me about this place, so we made a special trip here from St. Charles County, and it was totally worth it. What a perfect little bookstore! I could easily have spent so much more money than I did; there were so many things I wanted. I will just have to come back. In addition to this being a great place to buy books and book-related gifts, they also had a vendor selling soap and other other related items which I thought was awesome - a small business supporting another small business. The guy who checked me out was super nice and helpful as well....
