I do not recommend using this venue, especially during the summer. We held our wedding on the weekend of 6/22 this year, and were SO excited for this beautiful waterfront property to be the backdrop of the most important day of our life. The day of the wedding, we come to the venue after the ceremony, and find that the A/C had broke. It was over 100 degrees outside, and if you look at the photos you see that this glass box of a venue invites even more sun.

The venue didn't tell us until we got to the reception that the A/C was broken, though we suspect they knew ahead of time but just didn't car to fix it. This situation basically ruined the evening, as I spent the entire reception worrying about the pregnant and elderly people at our event who were being subjected to the conditions of a heat stroke.

To top that all off, I had to ask them to bring as many fans as they could. They didn't have enough outlets, so the venue then lost power.

Sure, they gave us a refund and a gift card to a restaurant at the Wharf, but no amount of money will make us forget how smoldering hot our venue was on our wedding day, and most importantly, their carelessness to find a suitable solution once...

I've had the pleasure of planning two events at the Dockmaster Building - a birthday party for 60 and a wedding weekend welcome party for 125. Both experiences were wonderful. The Dockmaster team is very organized and very clear on what they need from the vendors and the clients in order for them to help the event be a total success. Working with the venue team was a breeze. I'd be so happy to be back...
