My washing machine died after 21 years of reliable service. After much research and confusion, we saw a ‘35 year Anniversary’ ad for All Star Appliance in Waterbury in our local paper. Upon arriving at the store, we were met by Jeff, the manager, who has been with All Star for 15 years, he gave us all the time we needed to decide on the perfect washing machine (did I say it has been 21 years!). After comparing features, reliability and warranty, we decided on the Maytag model 766. Jeff is very knowledgeable and a friendly person to do business with. Delivery was set a couple of days later. This lead to the next level of customer satisfaction. Josh and Jay arrived within the designated time of delivery. They set everything up and they, also, were extremely knowledgeable with the features and operation of my new washer. They answered all my questions in perfect detail. So when they left, I was ready to tackle my laundry. I did so much wash that my old dryer could not handle it. So, once again, we called All Star, this time spoke with Josh, who helped us decide on the dryer that would work best, Maytag model 465. He arranged everything comfortably over the phone and delivery is set for Monday. In our opinion, after the service and prices that we received there is no reason to shop any where else. Read moreI actually never got to use their repair service, but did experience their very poor customer service. I scheduled an appointment 2 weeks ago for today, May 21, 2025. This morning someone called me at 8 a.m. to ask me if I someone had called me to confirm my appointment. I told him no. Then he told me someone would at my house by 10 a.m. At 11 a.m. the same person called me to tell me that he got stuck on a job for hours (so I am assuming that was the repairman) and he was not able to make it. He then told me I would need to reschedule for next week. I told him I had made the appointment 2 weeks before. He then told me he would see if he could fit me in tomorrow and told me he would call me back. I just got a call at 3:40 pm from someone else to tell me that he could reschedule me for Friday, May 23. I told him I was not available and told him that this whole situation was very unprofessional. He told me he was not the repairman and he was not the one that cancel on me. I told him that regardless of that, he also works for the same company. Needless to say, who can bring himself to apologize on behalf of the company. A family owned business with excellent customer service...Pam and Jeff went above and beyond to accommodate me when I purchased my refrigerator, it was on backorder, a replacement was delivered 5 days before Christmas! Also, the delivery process and removal of my old refrigerator was done with special precision, so careful and awesome! Thank you guys!
