December 2024 - Great marketing idea in terms of product expansion to start selling Fascia's Chocolates in other stores. I was thrilled to see them at the Moscarillo Garden Shoppe in Torrington the other week buying a Christmas cactus for a family member. Available in small boxes of two truffles, for example, on a rotating display case by the register or in larger boxes on a floor display.
2023 - Before leaving for Greenville, we agreed that surprising our friends who moved from Waterbury to South Carolina with a box of Fascia's Chocolates would be a great gift. It was the right choice. Thanks to my companion for buying me a box of their truffles, too!
2019 - Sublime chocolates made on site since 1964. Family owned. Gelato is available, too. Take the tour and make your own custom chocolate bar! These are chocolates where there won't be one in the box you bite into and throw it out for bad flavor. The 16 oz. box of assorted dark and milk chocolates is chocolatier perfection. Read moreAttended an event at Fascia’s and it was so much fun! We started by making our own personal chocolate bars. These were completed with nuts, sprinkles, rice krispies and dried coconut flakes.
After making our bars, we were brought into another room to start the chocolate class. We were walked through the history of Fascia’s family business, and got a super interesting lesson about the chocolate industry, and how chocolate is made. Super informative and engaging. This also consisted of a tour of their factory (at a distance through their overhead cameras). It was amazing to see how much attention and time is put into each piece they produce. This was completed with some tastings of their milk, dark and white chocolate.
The store has plenty to buy and enjoy at home as well - chocolate Cherry cordials, chocolate covered potato chips and nuts, varying flavors of meltaways and molds. They also have gelato - I tried the pistachio and pizzelle,...
Read moreFascias Chocolates has a good selection of chocolates, and will let you create your own box of assorted chocolates. It should be noted however, that they are confectionery meaning they don't actually make the chocolate, they take the pre-made chocolate and format into what you see in the store, adding ingredients and what not to get the specific type of truffle and whatnot that thay desire. I tried a considerable number of the assorted chocolates, and some of the other chocolate items they had in the store, I can say that chocolate is extremely good and well planned out. Anyone looking for super dark chocolate may feel left out however, as most of their dark chocolate he's in the neighborhood of 50%. The darkest chocolate I was able to find in the entire store what's the super dark chocolate flakes that were 72% and the chocolate blueberry bars,...
