Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Waterbury

I was going to the car wash next door when I seen Popeyes. I thought let me grab a little pop corn shrimp for the ride. I get to the ordering radio and ask for the shrimp and a strawberry lemonade. The lady asks to make it a combo and I ask what comes with the combo. I say okay I will do the mac and cheese as a side. Get a little strawberry pie to cause why not im hungry right. I pull up to pay and a young Indian girl snatches my card from me. I look at her but I already am smiling enjoying my second stop on my errand run. She gives me my card and receipt and continuously tells me to pull forward, no lie like 4x just handing me my card. Im looking at my receipt when I check behind me and there is no one there so I skim the receipt before pulling forward. I pull up to the door and look my receipt over because of little extra charges with each item. I go around to the menu to check am I seeing my receipt right. I just think well I'm good I'm just going to get my money back because a shrimp meal was the price I was originally charged for minus the extra charges. The Indian girl tries to tell me no before finally explaining she cant do a refund because the manager wasn't there. Then tells me the manager will be there in 15 minutes to give me my refund. I tell her that is fine I will wait for the manager for my refund. I pull up like she tells me to do to wait for the manager. I pull in a parking space after 5 minutes and call the number on the receipt. I get a voicemail so I leave a voicemail telling what was going on and wanted to see how long till the manager arrive to get back to my day. I get a return call maybe 2 minutes later from the number. A lady answers and asks me what is going on because she seen my voicemail and wasn't going to read that 2 paragraph long message. So I tell her pretty much what was going on and to see how long the manager will be and she says I am the manager lmaoo. So I ask when and she just cuts me off and says I am sick I am not coming down there. I paws when I hear this because well who is going to give me my money back then cause I'm not leaving with out my money. So I start explaining the sir charges for everything after ordering the meal didn't make sense to me she says that I am being so petty over .50¢ and she doesnt care. She then tells me her time is money and I am waisting her time. I say respectfully how is that my fault or my problem that she is sick. Then she hangs up on me. The second number in the receipt calls me back and its a different lady. She asks me what was going on over at the location. I tell her and she resolves my issue I was having here. They need John...

My partner and myself literally just left here in disappointment. We had a coupon to use and thought it would be easier for the staff, if we went inside instead of drive thru to use it. We went inside , where one of the staff was at the front counter trying to do something on the register computer. She then proceeded to walk away and start talking to the drive thru person. She went and got a soda. Returned near the front counter and held a conversation with the drive thru person about what hours they worked , and to ask the manager if she was put on the rest of the week. Meanwhile the manager continued her conversation with her kitchen crew and then proceeded to talk to the front counter woman and drive thru person. All this is happening while no one acknowledged us whatsoever. We were completely ignored. Not one word was said to us. That includes the manager as well. They were doing there own thing like we did not exist. I am a General manager of a chain myself, and I have to say I was severely disappointed in this kind of service. We ended up just leaving because no one bothered with us. I'm not sure of the manager on shift today was just a shift manager , and if so , then word needs to get to the general manager , or the supervising manager. This kind of service is how you...

If I could give this place a 0 I would. I will not step foot into this restaurant again after the disrespect I received from an employee there this afternoon. This would be a really long story if I had to explain it but let me just start by saying food is expensive and I expect to get what I paid for so when I come in and tell you my order is incorrect cursing at me in Spanish and threatening me isn’t what I expect to receive from the employees of any establishment. This lady (I can’t remember her name it begins with an M) was so rude, she threatened to fight me as she’s taking off her headset, cursing at me in Spanish and calling someone on the phone to come and meet me there all because I told her that I asked for 5 piece tenders and she gave me nuggets. I ended up calling the police because she threatened me and was telling someone on the phone to meet up with her there to basically jump me. The manager who said his name was Lee was really nice, but bro you need to control your employees cause you were about to let her really come out there and fight me over some chicken??!?! That place is a wreck and I’m not ever risking my safety over some chicken ever again! I hope they shut this place down honestly, I’ve never in my whole entire life dealt with that bad of customer...
