One Dollar Zone — Local services in Waterbury

This store is located right next to Walamart and Payless. Everything in this store is a $1 or less. I have been to many $1 stores that have items that are more than $1. The items in this store are inexpensive but are of good quality. I have brought holiday decorations from here. Pans and lids to cook in. Kitchen utensils that I still have that are not broken and look like I spent a lot of money on them. They so many items in this store. I wonder why people are paying more money than they have to for the same items that they have at this store. Do yourself a favor and stop wasting your money on the same items that this store has for $1. Why spend $3 on an aluminum pans that you're going to throw in the garbage. If you can get it the same pan for $1 at this store. Some people say that pans are different. That's why one cost more. The pans are the same. You're just paying for the name of a store. My first visit to this store, and I wasn't in there for more than 5 minutes. The first thing I did was go to the refrigerated section, where more than half of the panels were out of service and were being used for storage of random cardboard boxes. My next stop in an aisle was to look at some Jamaican soup packs that I was familiar with, and saw that they had expired over a month ago. There was a sign that said, "Take expired items to an associate immediately", so I did, but he didn't seem surprised. I went to this store to buy disposable plates half hour before closing time which was 8:31pm The store hours said they close at 9:00pm!!!!! I walked to the doors but at the same time I grabbed the handle of the door to pull, one of the employees ran to the door and locked the door before i got to pull on it.
