Decent prices.
I must update this review and remove four stars because this location has a serious theft problem. I witnessed two individuals (male and female) walk in this store, this morning (11/27/22)and grab pocketbooks and wallets and walked out of the store- unchallenged. I wonder what would happen if us working folks started stealing?
A couple of weeks ago, I witnessed a helpless manager observe a female walk out of the store with two bags full of🤷♀️ ( I did not witness her place items into her bags.) However, I did witness the manager ask her twice, if she was going to pay for the items and she looked at him and responded “Why?” as she proceeded to walk out of the store. I heard the alarms go off as she exited, but she kept walking. I expressed my discuss and sympathy to the manager. He explained that there was nothing he can do because the company doesn’t want anyone to get hurt.🤔 I understand but I don’t understand- something needs to be done!
TJ Maxx needs to address this before this store closes down and their employees are unemployed.

Read moreI’m from Coventry but have been caring for my sisters house in Waterbury while she’s out of the country. I decided to go to this TJ maxx today. Immediately the security guard follows me to the area. I think nothing of it, but then after I leave the restroom the security guard approached me and asked if I found everything okay. I said no and I’m going to grab face moisturizer. I go and look at all the different products and he asks is that what I’m looking for, while constantly staring at me. At this point I feel rushed and REALLY UNCOMFORTABLE as he’s not asking anyone else anything. I grab a random one and check out. I definitely won’t be shopping at this location ever again. Maybe it’s because I was wearing a hat(it’s raining outside) but it’s uncalled for. I’ll be shopping at Burlington or Vernon TJ maxx from now on where this uncomfortable situation would...

The staff is... mehh.
There's almost never any more than two cashiers at the registers, they take forever between customers to help the next one. As if they enjoy making you wait. They see you, look right in your face and engage in conversation among themselves. In one occasion, i witnessed one staff person helped a customer, came from the "floor" with said customer, cashed out the customer, looked at the line of 4 or 5 people waiting, closed the register and without saying a word to the waiting clients, turned around and left. I tend to not want to go in there, period, but sometimes i find myself going back for last minute shopping, and have almost always experienced the same situation. I know a thing or two about retail, so I KNOW this i absolutely NOT acceptable. Not...
