Have been here to do instacart 3 to 4x , the 2nd time I went , late afternoon, I was accosted by a man trying to ask me a question, if I was buying a car and I said no then he went to show me a picture of my car, not cool, then I said I don't sir , I have to leave working and I had said also oh your selling that car, and he proceeded to say that I said he was stealing cars. Honestly it was offensive, sad and just plain threatening. Obviously I corrected him, because I didn't say that, and his time changed , but then he barely let me back out , almost as if he wanted me to hit him. I don't know just assuming. I think it's interesting the city has these large obtrusive light generators, with cameras and loud speakers that mention every few minutes that you and everyone else in the parking lot is being surveiled. If I can find the time I will be going to city hall or police station to speak about these. 1st they are taking up parking spaces that are closer to the store that elderly or disabled people may need, 2nd it just feels like a violation, though it may not be, and it makes the area feel threatening even before you have any inclination it may be. And 3rd after what I experienced they are not doing much to deter people that may be commiting theft, harassing people or whatever other reasons the city decided to put those their. I've also seen them in a few other places. I do not know how much they cost. Best guesstimate with the generator and surveillance system possibly 50k to 150k depending on technology. I think the city of Waterbury and it's residents could have a few more potholes fixed or maybe hire some more people with more then living wage, wages to cleanup city or whatever skills they may have ,I'm sure they could find people useful for almost anything. Maybe I'm wrong here but it was interesting to think about after I actually had an issue. If that man had done something to me physically harmful, I wouldn't want to press charges if he was mentally incapacitated or something else, but I'm sure I would have no options now that the city has footage of it. Anyway if anyone wants to chime in. I'm all ears and eyes 👀👀👀👀👀 watch out ,, they are...
Read moreMore expensive than my normal stores, but good if you want to get in and out. This store has the doors to the far right(facing the store) closed off. However if you don’t pull in on that side you won’t know til you walk alllll the way over there like I did🤨. I parked in the middle of the parking lot so I didn’t drive in from the right. So I walked allllll the way over there just to be sent to the other side. Anyway. The store was packed, but I went to self serve and was able to get out pretty fast. The regular lines were long. They had about 5 cashiers on. Maybe because of the storm. Carts all over the place. They did have wipes at the...
Read moreI live around the corner from this plaza so I go there almost daily for one thing or another. I belong to Any Time Fitness gym which is there and I love it. I go early and the treadmill is located so you can watch the whole plaza as you workout. I've been able to see how well they take care of the parking lot and buildings. Ever morning they are sanding if it's slippery or blowing and picking up litter. The garbage cans are always emptied and the buildings painted. Very nice upkeep. The plaza really has everything you could want. From Dollar Tree to Target, 2 banks, Subway, Taco Bell, and much more. Great area to...
