If I give this zero stars I would... This has to be one of the worst restaurants I have been to. This was my first visit to the pizza castle and I should have know from the first encounter to turn away. As soon as we walked in my sister and I looked for a hostess and said “2 please” so we can be seated. Turns out there was no hostess it was just the servers. The one we spoke to looked at us with irritation in her eyes and told us we can seat our selves. Her attitude alone rubbed me the wrong way. So we finally sit down, got to order our food. That was a decent experience she gave us some time to look over the menu and left to retrieve out order. Once we recieved our food, it looks decent.... until we actually tasted it. My soup had a weird taste it almost tasted old. (Chicken noodle) I had gotten chicken parmigiana and my pasta was so bland and tasted old as well. It was such an odd taste.. my chicken on the other hand was okay. I’ll give it that. I ended up eating one chicken, no pasta and taking the other chicken to go with the intention of feeding it to my dog.. I was paying for a meal so minus well make some use of the food. My sister on the other hand had ordered chicken quesadillas and that was an adventure. Again her food tasted old and it almost looked as if it was drenched with grease with globs of cheese protruding from the sides. It was literally nothing but clumps of cheese inside. The cheese was so thick she practically almost choked on it. But don’t worry we had our FRESHLY SERVED watered down pink lemonade to wash it down with... through out this encounter, our server never came to check up on us at all. About 15 mins pass and still no one came to see how we were doing. We finally waved down another server asking for a check, which happened to be the same one who told us to have a seat. She looked at us when we asked, annoyed and yelled across the room for our original server to grab us a check. She comes over and ask if we’re boxing anything. The answer was no, I did take my chicken for my dog as mentioned earlier. She took our very full plates away and didn’t even bother to ask why our plates were full or why we didn’t want to box anything. She was not personable person. We payed our bill and left disappointed. If your looking for a restaurant that’s a bit pricey with non personably servers and a place where everyone has an attitude. Then this is the place to visit. Never coming...
Read moreThe reason why I am giving this restaurant a 2-star review and not the 1-star that I feel it deserves (after my recent experience) is because at the end of the day Pizza Castle undeniably serves really delicious food. However, after contacting the restaurant by phone on 12/3/14 regarding a community donation to a local 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization where I volunteer a lot of my time, it was to my surprise that the employee was extremely rude and eventually slammed the phone down in my face. I was literally in shock at the extreme reaction to support a community cause. Not to mention the numerous amount of families involved in my organization that frequent this restaurant. Shortly thereafter I called back and questioned the employee for her inappropriate reaction. I then explained to her the amount of years that I have patronized Pizza Castle and the least thing she could do was give me an appropriate response. Of course this was to no avail because she was unapologetic and continued to respond inappropriately. As I sit here and write this review I am baffled at what made the employee respond in a manner that she did. Nevertheless, what I can say is that I will never step foot in that restaurant. Not primarily due to the fact that they denied my community donation request. But mostly for the incredulous reaction that was displayed today.
On a brighter note, I contacted Mario's Pizza on Watertown Avenue. They were delighted to support my organization and did I mention very courteous. Therefore, they will be getting ALL of my business. Additionally, I will also be spreading the word within my network of families in the...
Read moreI ordered delivery stuffed sole with baked potato and new York steak with baked potato. Upon arrival a delivery girl hands me the wrong food from her car. So I told her she had given me the wrong order. She went to get the right order and needed me to sign receipt. So she placed the food on the ground in my driveway and had me sign. I then took food into house and opened it up now remember this cost 51$. We asked for extra steak sause so instead of putting it in with order we got 0 steak sause but we did get a watery whooster sauce instead. Then remember we have 2 bake potatoes so we asked for extra sour cream but instead we got 0 sour cream 0 butter 0 silver wear. I called back to complain the owner or boss who's name Is Chris basically accused us of lying because his staff said they put it in there. Chris is a very arrogant person who told me he was tired of me calling over condiments that go with the order that I purchased for $51 he told me he never wanted me to call back and I should order $51 meals from somewhere else. He then had a poor server on her way home from work drop off sour cream and real steak sauce. By that time our food was cold we were frustrated and we made the decision to never order from pizza Castle again especially if it's being ran by a person that will talk to a customer who spends money with them like that my suggestion to you is to take your business and go somewhere else because mr. Chris is the worst owner/boss I've ever seen or spoken to if he's at the top of this restaurant that should tell you enough take your money go out...
