I really hate to write this review. First of all the employees are the nicest people. They were polite and helped me loade my purchase. I just purchased a lawnmower for almost $500. I get home and the lawnmower is a piece of junk. It wont cut , it bogs down and stalls in the greenest of grass. Decide I would bring it back as I cannot use it nor afford to lose almost $500 and guess what I look at my receipt and it says says all sales final. You have got to be kidding, a $500 item that does not work and I cannot return to the store. If I bought this at Home Depot I could have brought it back. And lets be honest here I don't like home depot. I much prefer to give to the local stores. Sorry Ace but I would not recomment this store.

I have met with the owner and I now understand their no return policy and accept it, but the mower does not stand up to its advertisments in it videos. While others are mowing their lawn I cannot. If there is a little bit of moisture in the grass it will not mulch. It just clogs up. You have to wait until the grass is almost bone dry and then it cuts it erratically. I should have read the reviews before purchasing as they all have the same complaint as me. I purchased this mower and now own it. Should ace accept the return? I don't believe so. I looked at the mower went on there sight looked at their pictures and video and made my choice. They advertise this mower as something it is not. They show discharge chutes for this mower but it does not come with one. I must give this mower a one star rating if I could give it a zero I would. I have already contacted Toro with a bad report and complaint and very much doubt whether I will hear from them as this is just another pice of machinery made in China. I have a deep and abiding love for hardware stores, a fact that is very funny considering that im probably the least handy person on earth. There's something about a good hardware store though that feels welcoming. Its a place where you go to get what you need to make something broken functional, and perhaps beautiful again and it's a place where you can ask questions and learn something. I feel this ace hardware exemplifies each of these things. I went in yesterday needing to rent a rug doctor. Erika helped me figure out how long I'd need it, what soap I would need to run it and a bit about the operation. She was at all times professional prompt and helpful. I have a bad back and was offered assistance getting the rug doctor into my car. Ethan was patient and polite while I figured out where we could stow it and while I got my car to the curb to do so. Then today I returned it and was taken care of by Liz who was again prompt polite and professional in handling the paper work to check it back in and confirm that the cleaning deposit would be returned to my card. More expensive then larger chain stores with less variety of items they carry. I was suprised when I went recently that they didn't carry cement dye. However they do have more variety of outdoor activity items compared to other home improvement stores and a seasonal outdoors isle that say now in spring/summer will have pool chemicals, some fishing stuff, and camping equipment. Where you won't find anything like this at home depot ever. They also carry higher quality paint then home depot or lowes in my opinion but with better quality your gonna pay higher prices. It's no use comparing what store is less or more expensive anymore cause everything nowadays is expensive. Better finding stores that have variety of items you are looking for with helpful & friendly staff & this store definitely has friendly & helpful staff unlike home depot where if you ask for help from someone it's almost always not their department & say they will get someone to help you.
