Working with Rob Juleson and his team at Valenti Volvo has been a wonderful experience (not the case with the former Volvo service location in Watertown). Unfortunately, I had a quite a few problems (mostly due to poor quality servicing from the former location) with my Volvo XC90, and because of this poor experience and because I felt like my car was a way to expensive to service, I was convinced that I would never buy another Volvo.
My car currently has 109,000 miles on it. For the first 99,000 miles, it had been serviced with the former Volvo Service location in Watertown. Around the 95,000 mile mark, it seemed to be burning oil (I had to add oil to it between services) and the brakes were squealing (I had the brakes replaced with this location ~ 9 mo earlier). After setting up my first service appointment with Valenti, I asked Rob about these issues. Rob and his team got to the root of the problems right away offered me a loaner (a lovely white XC60:-) until the resolution was complete. The servicing at this brand new location in Watertown has more than met my expectations. The customer service and quality (making up for past poor quality & customer service) is exceptional! I feel comfortable calling Rob with any questions or concerns because he’s friendly, professional and cares about my car and the servicing relationship. I don't dread setting up a service appointment because for the first time, I feel like Rob (and his team) has genuine concern for me and my car (and its longevity). I'm pleased that my car has another 100,000 miles to go and we (especially my daughter – as in a few years, this will be her car) will continue to be in great hands with Valenti Volvo!
For the first time since owning this car (or any car for that matter), I have trust and faith in this Service Department/Dealership. Since I had had such negative prior Service Department experiences, I didn’t really know that a Service Department could be friendly, professional and customer service oriented. Read moreRecently I had to purchase a new vehicle which was completely unexpected and unplanned. My 2016 Volvo (153K miles) had serious car repairs needed. My family is now on our 5th Volvo, both XC90's and XC60's. We had not done business with Valenti in the past. The repair department lead by Howie was excellent, he communicated everything very clearly and timely. Howie and I discussed the repairs and came up with a plan. However, after much discussion with my family, we decided to purchase a newer vehicle and Howie Hafford put us in touch with Devonne Dao in the show room. What a polite, non pushy young man with a ton of knowledge on the type of car I liked which is the Volvo XC60. When we got to the showroom to speak with Devonne in person, he had a car ready for us to look at. I was impressed, he did not try to upsell me on a different type of car. Turns out we purchased the car from Devonne after we had gone to a few dealerships- new and used and Devonne's deal was the best. We worked out an amenable deal, the car was spotless when we picked it up and that car mats he promised where brand new and in place. We then dealt with Ed in finance- another pleasant experience. Ed went through all the extended warrantees with us and also gave us a great deal. Before we left the dealership with our newer car (2024 XC60 B5 with only 27,000 miles) Devonne went through the electronics of the car and was very patient with me.. I returned my Volvo after the lease period to a different dealer (Volvo of Westport), where the vehicle inspection process was not completed properly. They failed to note the return of a charging cable, leading Volvo Finance to invoice me $1000 on my final lease end statement.
Upon discovering that my former vehicle was now on sale at Valenti, I decided to reach out to them. Despite not having purchased the car from Valenti or used their services, Donny Frost demonstrated exceptional customer service. He went above and beyond to verify the completeness of the car's return. Donny promptly drafted a letter, as requested by Volvo Finance, and provided proof that the car was returned in its entirety.
This proactive approach from Donny saved me from a potential $1000 charge, showcasing Valenti's commitment to customer satisfaction. What impressed me even more was Donny's dedication to follow up and ensure that the resolution went smoothly. This level of customer obsession, without any personal gain for Valenti, exceeded my expectations.
Coming from someone who works at Amazon and understands the significance of customer treatment and loyalty-building, I commend Valenti and Donny for their exemplary service. This positive experience has undoubtedly earned my loyalty, and should I be in the market for another Volvo, Valenti will be my first choice.
