I went to the store yesterday because I had a necklace and a bracelet with clasps that needed to be repaired. Upon arriving the woman said "oh I can have this done in ten minutes" I said oh wow that's great. I did not think to ask how much it would be, which is totally my own fault, but I couldn't imagine fixing a small clasp could cost a lot. I've had clasps repaired before at other jewelers for a small amount of money. While waiting the two women in the shop were pushing every piece of cosmetic jewelry on me to buy, I was followed around , and I felt almost like I needed to get something or they wouldn't leave me alone. After about 11 minutes she said my things were done and then she said THAT WILL BE 95 DOLLARS. I almost fell over. I have had my wedding band and engagement rings rhodium plated and cleaned for far less. Honestly I felt taken advantage of and will never return. I recently walked into David’s with a old family ring that had a nice center stone. I explained to them my idea of putting it in a new setting and making it an engagement ring for my girlfriend.
