B & C Installations Inc — Local services in Watertown

Normally, I’d always do my own car audio installations for friends, family, myself, etc. but due to a back injury I’ve shied away from it. That being said, I’ve never had to go to a shop to install subs, amps or wiring for that matter, until recently. I was very skeptical to allow someone else to work on my sons car, I’ve seen some butchered installations in the past. Some of these big box stores and other stereo shops will hire just about anybody that can turn a screwdriver and a wire cap. The end result is usually not good... Which brings me to this review...

Already knowing in advance what places I’d be avoiding, I decided to call B&C in Watertown, on Google, it looked like a nice quaint location and thought perhaps this place would probably give me the best one on one experience. Boy was I right!! I called the shop and spoke to the owner Barry, not only is he the owner, he’s also the installation professional, sales professional, a REAL PROFESSIONAL! So we spoke for a little bit, already knowing some answers myself, I asked him some questions, we chatted for a little over 5 minutes, I was sold, Barry was very friendly, very knowledgeable, very helpful and very fair on his pricing. He definitely knows his stuff and doesn’t pressure you on anything, because of this great experience thus far, I scheduled my appointment.

Appointment day - I called ahead to tell Barry we were going to be a few minutes late because we had to get gas, he was very understanding. So we finally arrive and walk into the shop. My first Impression was wow, he has a very good inventory. Wish I knew he was here years ago. We were kindly greeted by Barry and we dropped off the car. After having lunch in Waterbury we decided to swing back to the shop. Perfect timing, he was already done and pulling the car back out. Now that was quick I’m thinking!! I’m still impressed today and it’s been a couple days already (LOL). So anyways, he shows us his work from under the hood to the back of the trunk and demos the audio for us, wow!! The wiring is great! The audio is great! This man is great!! For real...

Finally, tell me this, when was the last time you been to a car audio shop and see a car audio license hanging behind the counter? Probably never! Why? Because most of these other places hire just about anybody just as I said before and these “installers” are not licensed, certified or whatever. In conclusion, if you want PROFESSIONAL work go to a PROFESSIONAL guy! Thanks again Barry, I’ll be back...

Been meaning to get around to writing this. First Barry is phenomenal. I went there later in the day just to pick his brain about what I should do. I wanted something impressive but nothing you can hear 10 cars away. After speaking for a few minutes and showing him my car he instantly knew what would be best, I was a little hesitant at first I didn't know if I wanted a sub right this minute but hey you gotta live a little. So we set up an appointment, I dropped off the car and he said give him a few hours. So during my shopping maybe an hour or less I get a call from Barry saying my car was all ready for me. When I arrived he showed me the speaker and talked me through the book/controls while him and I jammed out which is very handy if someone doesn't know how they work. Honestly I didn't even have to touch any of the settings he set it up perfectly, I even got a knob by my right leg so I can turn it up and down instead of going to the trunk every time. And even after all that he gave me a price I don't think...

This review has been LONG overdue! I cannot speak highly enough of Barry at B&C Installations. We are happily repeat customers. My dad sent me there for a head unit many years ago, because he was a customer there and now over the years I have taken at least three of my vehicles, which also include my two sons vehicles for various needs.

I recently replaced my stock radio in my 2016 Jeep Wrangler. Barry helped me select the perfect replacement unit (with an awesome LCD screen and great features at a good price for within my budget).

Barry is knowledgeable beyond words. He takes the time to make sure every job is done completely which INCLUDES the aesthetics of each job (radio squarely placed, wires hidden, the sound balance, etc). Quick appointments, fairly priced, relaxed atmosphere… Stands behind his work. Very pleased.

I’m looking forward to purchasing my son a remote starter for the Holidays. I have full confidence the job will be done...
