Hoya Asian Express — Restaurant in Watertown

I was so excited to get this food! We live right up the street and couldn't wait for it to open! Ordered 5/4 (today as I eat it now) and it did NOT disappoint!!!! I got the 3 entree meal which was delicious! Good portion size for what you pay! My husband got the volcano bowl and it was phenomenal. We are already planning to come back next weekend for our anniversary dinner! The hot and sour soup and crab rangoon were also hot and yummy. Everything was fresh and tasty, especially the poke bowl which was spicy and filling! The only downside was I ordered online (paid a lot online rather than I would have in person) I assumed it was going to be READY for me when I went in 15 minutes later, only for us to get up there, pay, and have them prepare it and wait longer. I should have just ordered in person rather than online because it would have saved money. Won't be ordering online again. The service was good, a little slow, but the counter person couldn't help that there was a nice lady (going to stop myself from using mean terms :)) up front with her 4 kids that couldn't behave AND she was on the phone the whole time ordering. Please don't be that person!!! It's rude and no one wants to deal with you! If that was you, don't let your 4 screaming kids run around next time!!! But overall, they killed it and we will be back! Super good lo main and crunchy chicken fingers. The staff were very kind and I can't wait till they open fully on Monday to try a poke bowl. I will update on that when I get it. The bears waving to the cars was super cute. They also have super cool mirrors in the bathroom you can change the light color and other touch screen mirror features. I never knew there was touchscreen mirrors. Overall the decor and designs to the place are nice and I wish them all the best going forward. I know I'll be a frequent customer. EDIT: I tried them Monday (yesterday now) and the poke bowl I got was super underwhelming and I ended up having to make my own spicy mayo and smoked salmon because it didn't have nearly enough sauce and flavor. They also didn't prepare it the way I asked and I made sure to be specific. My boyfriend got the burbon chicken and it was better than my pokebowl but still wasn't anything spectacular. We will still be giving them another chance as maybe it was a fluke because they were new but our food wasn't worth...

I used to go there without fail when it opened a repeat customer. Until one day I went during lunch and I asked for a teriyaki beef, rice and vegetables..there was nothing left on the burners so they had to make it. Fine I stepped out into the lot to take a phone call. I had tipped them and paid already which was customary as per their setup. They stapled the bag shut and handed me the order from the kitchen so I never saw the food. When I got home I saw four strips of beef padded underneath with vegetables and heaps of rice and more vegetables on the other side of the container. I felt robbed. And I never went back to them again. Oldest trick in the book. Never go to a place where they never show you want they have served you or the portions and then they staple the paper bag and double knot the plastic bag you might be surprised that you come home with nothing but...
