Happy Garden — Restaurant in Watertown

The first couple of times we ordered from Happy Garden (in the plaza next to Taco Bell), we were very satisfied. However, the third time we ordered, my husband placed the order, specifying that he is allergic to mushrooms. When we got home with the food, there were mushrooms in it. My husband called to let them know, and the woman he spoke with was very rude and basically told him he was out of luck. I took the order and drove back down, explaining that we'd called and I wanted the order replaced. She was again very rude to me, insisting that we hadn't specified no mushrooms and telling me she wouldn't take it back. Are you kidding me? I'm pretty much 1/5th Chinese so I know good Chinese food when I taste it. This place went downhill faster than Justin Bieber on a crystal meth binge. Everything tastes the same, and by the 'same' I mean like spoonful of dog turd. And the service/wait times have become almost laughably ridiculous. The last few times we ordered, there were no less than 6-7 people waiting, and the "10 minutes" was actually more like 30.

You have many other options in this area, I would suggest you use them. 10 years ago they would have gotten 5 stars...today? Go to the China Buffet or Golden Palace. No idea how this place is still...

Some days are good and some days are bad. I ordered for delivery and my orders were all screwed up. For one I ordered a Moo Goo Gai Pan Combo and a Chicken and Broccoli Combo. Well the sauces they used for each order were flip-flopped. The moo goo gai pan sauce was in the broccoli and the chicken and broccoli had the moo goo gai pan sauce. Ordering from here for the past year now and it seems to be a hit or miss. I did not call and complain because we were waiting for an hour for the food and we aren't ones to complain about much.
