EDIT JULY 30TH 2025 . Unfortunately I have to knock my rating to 2 stars. Yesterday I came in with my 40+ games switch 1 collection. I was excited to find out out what I'd be offered for my collection. I have many rare sought games for the system. The total came to $606 credit or $400 cash. The problem is: the offer lower than 15%. 15%! The worst part is: I asked for a breakdown of values for each item and they wouldn't provide one. The lack of transparency was shocking. So I asked about my highest one, triple atelier pack: $9 offered for a $120+ used video game. They said they don't charge collector prices yet I've seen that exact game there being sold for $119.97, pre owned bullmoose. The worst part about all this is: they acted like they should pay less "because I'd be offloading it". So I should feel guilty for not selling you my $120 video game for the amount of $9, and for less? Ridiculous to say the least. The sound of entitlement here is insane. Your prices in store are good, but less than 10% payout for an item item you'll be making $120 for? That's damn near robbery. I'm never selling here again. . EDIT JULY 7TH 2025 . I wanted to add to this review because I wanted to talk about how far bullmoose will go to remedy situations. I had bought last month a 160gb ps3 which unfortunately needed to be returned. I had bought through bullmoose well over 20 games for said ps3 however: there were no more ps3s in the bullmoose system. Bullmoose went out of their way to send any ps3 console directly to waterville or another ps3 system immediately on hold to resolve the situation. This included a secondary controller because I had already returned 2 of them within a matter of 8 days. Not only did they resolve the situation: they also got me a 500gb super slim!!!! And a secondary controller. Shout out to the employee for making this possible! He went above and beyond and I highly appreciate it! Highly impressed with him and this company! 9.5/10!!!
Im going to list the pros and cons of bullmoose. . The pros: Bullmoose has a massive collection of movies as well as music and books. They also sell video games. You can order almost anything by simply giving them a call, and they'll get most items in depending on availability within 4 to 7 days. There have been many times where I've bought used movies, books, and games that were worth a lot more than what I paid. Especially compared to ebay sold listing. . The cons: Unfortunately I have to give this store a 4 out of 5. I would have given a 3 out of 5 however for the countless amount of times I've saved money buying through them: bullmoose definitely deserves a solid 4 out of 5. Sometimes, the games that are older are outrageously overpriced. As a collector, I have a general idea as to what each older video game goes for. And if I don't know, I pull up pricecharting (a website for pricing and valuing video games) on my phone. Dvds and other buffable disc's can sometimes be overbuffed. Even those with minor scratches are unfortunately because of their policy buffed. Which can ruin the disc. Some disc's have splotches which is a sign that the disc is rotting and won't last for very long. They usually will play, but disc rot will eventually make the disc's unplayable. They are very good with their returns overall though, and are quick to remedy the situation. Going back to the games, since covid 19 started: you can no longer order games or put on hold older games. For example gamecube and before cannot be brought in from another store unless its not under a general listing. Also their payout for items depend on how many are in stock and even if there's none: sometimes they pay less than 25% value. So do be careful. . The conclusion: Overall the store has a huge selection. If you know what you're looking for and know how to save money with bullmoose: you'll find many great...
Read moreBeing in retail myself, I have an understanding of the views behind and in-front of the counter. When Bull Moose advertises that they can buy products from their customers, I strongly believe they should be honest by saying “we will give you very little for your product, essentially we will just take it off your hands”. Honesty goes a long way with your customers. But instead they waste your time and efforts to conduct business with them. Most products we brought them were in factory sealed never opened condition or in awesome condition quality . We were offered $8 for everything (pictured). That is $1.14 for each item. Now I know they have to turn around and sell the said items, I also know retailers often get 100% markup on wholesale items. I hope that they learn from this review that they are harming their place of business by insulting the intelligence of not only their sellers but also their buyers. We are people not the wholesalers in China and big corporations. Think Bull Moose. Buy for fair or don’t buy at all. Maybe offer your sellers at least 30% of value because after all they are doing you a solid by bringing you product right to your door. No shipping no...
Read moreMy wife and I went to the Waterville store and I have to say it was the worse experience I have ever had shopping in the end. We went in for a Christmas gift for my son found it (I will state now it was a used item) and asked clerk 1 information about the return policy ect. The information was given I said okay and that we needed to finish shopping. When we were done clerk 2 came over and proceeded to tell me a different policy about returns that did not match clerk 1. He brought the item to the counter and proceed to tell me who I walked to and I told him that the person I spoke with was not who he was referring to. Clerk one did come over and state what I said about the policy was what was told to me. Clerk 2 proceeded to lecture clerk 1 about giving out the wrong information to people. Then clerk 2 told me that maybe I should not buy what I want from his store because I was only going to return it. I will not be going back to the Waterville store. I would rather drive an hour south then put up with someone like that. Even after 1 & 1/2 this still really bugs me. If Bull moose reached out to me I would be...
