If I could give TECHY ten stars , I would! At the beginning of the summer my phone was taken and returned by Waterville Police Dept. in really bad shape! Someone had ran it over and the screen as well as the phone was micro shattered and wouldnât light up or take a charge. I immediately brought it to Verizon to see if they could atleast download my info from it⌠to no avail, because it was THAT far gone. When the technician at Verizon saw that I was visibly upset with tears in my eyes, I explained why I was so heartbrokenâŚ. Almost 3 years ago, being divorced , I had met an amazing man from Florida. We had a long distance relationship for about two years! He enriched my life so much even from miles away. We spoke and texted multiple times a day and flew back and forth to see each other trying to work on a plan to be together and probably marriage. Covid hit , which made it more challenging but we managed. In late September 2020 he flew to Maine and he said heâd been feeling exhausted all the time. I finally convinced him to go see a Dr. and he got the news that he had B Cell Lymphoma.I was flying back and forth every three weeks to take care of him and my Florida family helped when I couldnât be there. Long story short, after finishing all of his chemo and ringing the bell of his completion of 2 types of Chemo, he contracted Covid. He passed away March 1, 2021 after a valiant fight for his life. My world was shattered into a million pieces, much like my phone! I felt I was losing him all over again because our history was in the photos and texts and damaged beyond repair phone. The technician at Verizon felt so bad. He suggested I take my phone to TECHY the next morning. So I did!! Jon Irwin was able to put a new face on it even at the expense of getting shards of glass on the counter, floor and in his hands! I waited anxiously to see the screen light up and was elated as he saved every text Virgil and I shared since day one of our relationship! On top of that he refused to charge me and let me have a loaner phone until my new one came in! Talk about above and beyond! Iâm tearing as I write this because words cannot describe how grateful I am for all that they did at TECHY! Amazing people amazing service and I will never forget the relief I felt and the gratitude I have for your kindness and expertise! Thank you from the bottom of my heart! Well they said they probably couldn't take it apart since my screen was broken without breaking the screen more well, I get my old screen back And they were able to to take it out without damaging it anymore but they put a new one in OK cool I'll pay for it find out it's a piece of junk and oh yeah they didn't overnight it like they said they were going to it was five days later when I finally get it back, so they've had my iPad for a few days again and I asked them did they overnight a new one to get it in they said no the storms slow things up and if we overnighted one right now it would take till Thursday or Friday to get it anyways, today's Monday ! I have lost so much money because of these people my head is spinning because that's my work tablet and I don't just use it a little bit.    Read moreI brought my phone in for a repair of a cracked camera lens. While I was there, I bought a screen protector. It has a lifetime warrantee. The next day, my part was in, so I brought my phone in. The repair was quick. When I looked at my phone after leaving the store, I noticed that underneath the screensaver was cloudy & dirty. Then, I noticed that my screen was cracked. I brought it back into the store, showed the salesperson & he told me he needed to consult with his supervisor. When he returned, he told me they would replace the screen for cost of materials - labor = $250.00. He also offered me a few screen protectors for free (they come with a lifetime warrantee.. ) . Infelt insulted by this 'offer'. My quick repair turned into a very expensive trip. I would expect to have the screen replaced at no cost. I am so disappointed and will not return to Techy in...
