I am from out of town. I called Piggly Wiggly to place a sandwich order to be sent to a funeral home. I wanted to also add a case of water to the order.. the deli manager could not simply add a case of water to my deli bill.. she had to transfer me to another dept in the store. So then that other dept would need to work with the Deli to make sure the order would be filled when a delivery service was ready to pick it up & deliver. Unacceptable! Unbelievable! Has the piggley wiggley ever considered doing delivers to other places in the town for special occasions including a death?? Like ordering flowers or food to be sent to a funeral home for the grieving family.. In order for me to accomplish this, I would need to call "speedsters" (delivery business) to have them pick it up from the store 2 deliver it. Get with the times! ALL of the grocery stores in DBQ Iowa (not including Aldi's) take an order for such a thing - and deliver it to the funeral home. Usually a 5 dollar charge for delivery. Customers pay this delivery charge without hesitation, so they can get an order delivered for any occasion. Why can't other grocery stores do this?? This is a very exceptional option for all customers & would make more money...
Read moreI'm hoping the owner/general manager has an opportunity to read this text. I have always believed of the importance of supporting locally owned business; I was in management for a large corporation and understand the importance of quality, as well as customer service. I have shopped at Piggly Wiggly for years, but no longer. Let me explain, advertised products that are not available; covid is excuse relayed by your employees; this excuse only goes so far when your're told to come back tomorrow; to no avail. Worse is the fact that your produce department would be rated a 2 out of 10. Why? mushrooms w green stickers that should have been disposed of..full of mold as well as strawberries on sale for 99 cents along with asparagus that were inedible..your produce department is unacceptable..if you would like to discuss this situation as far as my willingness to pay a little more for quality, please reply to this text..thank...
Read moreI usually go to Pick n Save down the road, but Piggly Wiggly was having a sale on something I needed, so decided to go there and do my weekly shopping. I saw so MANY people without masks, including some employees, that I cut short my shopping early and left. No partitions up around the checkers, no wiping things down that I saw, and the dividers between each customers’ items on the belt were being used by every person, one after the other, without being wiped down. I don’t recall if they even had a sign posted saying masks should be worn. So if you don’t value your life, go ahead and shop there. But as for me, they’ve lost a customer. I’ll go back to Pick n Save, where they seem to care about the health of...
