My experience with the Shopko Optical team was tremendous. They blessed me.

The optimist, Dr. Wesley Meyer, put prisms on my glasses and my vision, the headaches, my sense of well being, and safety all improved. This is not a dramatic overstatement. How important are the eyes? I discovered that answer when I could see… actually see! Strange how I thought I could. Then the Dr. Meyer showed me what it actually was..: to look out and see like I never had before.

Then there was Mary! Oh, if you can have Mary help you… you will have the very best assistance. I learned so much about glasses and what I actually needed. She was patient and walked me through the process. Another had assisted me the first day and my glasses were not right. Mary made them right. I was worried about the cost. I had to use my credit card. Then when my glasses were ready, I truly understood the investment.

The satisfaction guarantee is real. The first time, my lenses were not exactly right. No hassle. No struggles. Mary sent them in and got them right.

This is the longest review I have ever written. I could go on with greater detail but I am afraid the readers have already moved on from this review. I do not know anyone who works for Shopko Optical. I was given no extras for writing this. I’m doing so because everyone should be able to see and have the quality eyeglasses that I now have. Everyone should be given the wonderful service and care that I experienced...

I visited Shopko optical Waupaca back in December of 2023. My experience overall was solid and about what one would expect for an eye exam. But there's a reason I'm only writing this review now: I have received several robo calls which advised me that I was overdue for an eye exam as well as texts coming from 2 different numbers (meaning I'd have to unsubscribe twice) not only are the calls and texts very invasive of personal privacy and disturb peace especially for someone who works a night shift, but it's also so insincere having a robo call as opposed to a person calling. I know it's easy to block the numbers but I shouldn't have to in the first place and the multiple calls and texts in a period of just a few months is way too excessive. Even worse, I started getting spam mail from Shopko optical to a new address which I moved to long after my appointment and I never provided this address in the first place either. While this is more of a corporate issue, it still shows that Shopko optical as a company will stoop to the very low level of picking at your personal information without consent to send spam mail which is creepy, invasive, and overall unacceptable. This review is moreso meant for the company itself as the staff were excellent and professional and deserve nothing...

I am a new patient at Shopko Optical, and I would not have a problem recommending them! I had now wait time, even being early. I was taken back for all the eye scans by Erin who was Amazing with explaining what she was doing, and making sure I was comfortable the whole time. Then was taken into the exam room to see the Dr. who was already in the room- again no wait time, and again was amazing with explaining everything. Then came time to pick out my new glasses. And this is where I have to give Erin the most credit. I couldn’t decide, not because they didn’t have a good selection, but because I was just having I was having one of those days. But not only did we find one pair, I got two! Thank you Dr. Mary Jo, Shopko Optical and especially Erin!...
