My sister's and mom was going to Root to get their nails done. My family kept saying how much they like it so I decided to give the flex gel a try myself. My first appointment was on March 29, 2024. I had acrylic already on my nails. The nail tech, who was new at this wasn't sure how to proceed with the flex gel since I had acrylic on. She asked a seasoned staff and they informed this new staff to just fill in with the gel flex until the acrylic grows out. So that is what we did for the first few months. I had to switch techs due to my work hours and the new tech helped sand down the remaining acrylic. In September, I was stuck in Athens Ohio so I called to cancel my appointment at Root. I desperately needed my nails done because they just kept breaking. I got them done when I was in Athens. The salon i went to did not do flex gel so I got acrylic again. It was actually nice because I only had one nail break instead of 4. I had my appointment last night at Root. I went there and informed my nail tech that I had to get acrylic. I asked her if she can switch and do acrylic instead of the flex gel. She told me they only did flex gel, no acrylic. I then asked her if they can just do like last time and fill in with the flex gel. She said no that I would have to go somewhere else and have them remove the acrylic then go back to Root to have the flex gel put on. So I wasn't able to get any work done on my nails due to me having acrylic on they refused service. I get a bill from them for $49.95 for an appointment that all she did was advise and trim down my one broken nail. I called and asked why I was getting charged for a no call/no show. The receptionist said it should have been just half that. I said for what? I did not do a no call/no show, you guys refused service. Thst i shouldn't have gotten charged for a service THEY refused to do. I then told the receptionist to cancel all my future appointments and the appointment for October 26th to where I was going to get my hair and makeup done for my daughters wedding. The receptionist was then claiming that I did not have to pay the service fee and to keep my future appointments. I told her they should have offered to wave the fee since it was not my fault the appointment turned out like it did. It was a lack of communication on their part. Not wait until I decided to cancel all future appointments because they don't want to lose a customer. Yes I paid the $25 and told her that was the nail techs tip for cutting down one nail!
I do not know how to reply to your statement but I NEVER offered to pay!! I called and said I realized I walked out and if I was getting charged for the non appointment. They said they were waiting to hear from you and will send me an invoice. Get the...
Read moreI went here a little over a year ago to get microblading, and it turned out horrible. The first session was okay..I u am very understanding that there is a process but when I went back for my touch up the shape bri made my eyebrows was the worst thing I've ever seen and tried my best not to flip out. I was devastated and it took me over a year to get them redone. When I was explaining what had happened to my new permanent makeup artist I said they turned out so horrible but the girl who did them was SO nice, and she looked at me and said "what does that mean?" And it hit me..it means absolutely nothing when the work is awful. I went there because her insta pics look perfect and the five star ratings, but soon after I got mine done and I said I was unhappy to people, I started hearing a lot of people were unhappy and not going back, or went back to get things fixed and still weren't really satisfied. Why no one has left a bad review..I'm not sure. Someone said they don't want to say anything because they are friends with people that work there. Or maybe people are to passive or scared because we live in a small town and use other services there. I just don't want people to waste almost five hundred dollars and ruin their face that they have to look at every day in the mirror. I went to lauenilash in Toledo area and she is the most talented amazing artist. I'm so happy now. I just wish I could have been happy the first...
Read moreI recently had a follow up appointment for second permanent make up visit for eyebrow tattooing.
This was after spending over 1300 dollars on several previous appointments and products to have my previous eyebrow’s tattoo lighted before getting a new tattoo.
My appointment was on Monday morning at 9 am. I came down ill on Sunday evening and was unable to reach out to the salon as they were closed. But I was able to contact the technician and let her know on social media as I was her first appointment on Monday and I wanted to ensure she was aware. I told her I would contact them on Monday to Reschedule.
Monday moring I received a phone call from the manager at the salon informing me they were invoicing me 50% of the visit which is $78.75 for not canceling within 24 hours. To which I responded yeah I’m not paying that! A person can’t usually predicted when the will fall ill.
Perhaps they would prefer customers to come in ill and risk contaminating their staff and customers.
This is ridiculous not only am I not paying this, I will not be returning! It’s a horrible customer service decision and your loss not mine! There are a million salons to...
