Warrior Wings — Restaurant in Wauseon

Welcome to my new favorite haunt.

I don't know why I put off trying this place. Maybe it's because of the 900 wrong assumptions I had about it, like that it was tiny inside of an old garage, or that it was a nothing lane wing spot place, or that it was gimmicky, idk whatever it was, I WAS WRONG.

First of all, it's so spacious and cool inside, with long tables and huge tv's. And also two really nice bathrooms. It's the perfect place to gather.

And the food? Shut up delicious.

Their combos are a great price for absolutely huge portions. And not just what you get, but the actual chicken is huge. The chunks and wings, every never been able to finish my order of either!

I always get the 6 Wing MRE combo with tots. I do prefer the tots over the fries. My go-to sauces are Sweet Chili (no spice) and Mango Habanero (nice heat). These wings are not breaded and perfectly cooked with a crisp to the skin and moist chicken inside.

My husband loves the boneless chunks, and is a huge fan of getting half pickle dry rub, and half lemon pepper fry rub.

Their cheese curds and fried mushrooms were a huge hit, the fried pickles were a little too much breading though.

They also serve liquor here, so add to that good chicken and big screen football, and it's just the perfect way to...

The sauces are Good/Ok, however the wings seem to be a poor quality wing. They are large wings, but taste as if frozen, (but Not frozen) and then fried in burnt oil. I've been there twice and are disappointed. I am comparing to fresh wings that another competitor (not in the immediate area) has at a non franchised restaurant. Im hoping Warrior Wings works out the issues. They could also use help at the register as one person seems to be overwhelmed. In conclusion, if you judge wings on size, then they may be your go to wing restaurant, however, if you are a wing lover and are critical like me, then you may be disappointed. I really do not like putting negative reviews and I hope I can change it in the future if I ever go back a 3rd time. Until then, I'm not recommending this restaurant. Been here before and it was GREAT. Took my daughter here today for her first time telling her they have the best wings in town. I don’t know if it’s because I ordered 24 (boneless) of them or what but some of the wings were done well and tender, and some of them were tough and weird. I also ordered the garlic Parmesan, which was lacking and closer to plain. Seems like they use the same amount for the smallest size order as they do for the 24 piece. I don’t come here much because it’s kinda pricey and today felt like a pretty big disappointment. I didn’t realize we could take pictures on Google review till we ate them, but as you can see on the last chunk, I might as well have ordered plain.
