Cyle and Ashley have the cleanest tattoo shop I have ever personally set foot in. I chose their shop after seeing a friend of my husband and I had gone to him. I went to Cyle for my first tattoo that has a lot of sentimental value for me. He and Ashley were able to schedule me the same night that I had contacted him, and were quickly responsive through Facebook messenger (which is how I initially contacted the shop). When my husband and I showed up, Cyle was very professional and understanding of the fact that I was nervous because this was my first tattoo, and he and Ashley have a very relaxed environment which helped make me feel less anxious. He walked me through step by step of what was going to happen before he even touched my skin. He was very understanding when he placed my tattoo, and I asked him to move it to a different spot. He also completely went over with me what needle he was using and physically showed me that he was opening a brand new sterilized needle out of the package and showed me the sharps container that the needle would go in immediately after finishing my tattoo. A week later Cyle was able to schedule my husband for a tattoo and drew up exactly what my husband described to him. Cyle brought my husband's thought to reality and was able to create something really amazing. His prices are very reasonable, and his work is very clean and precise. It is definitely worth the drive to Waxahachie, you're truly getting the best tattoo artist I've seen. Within two weeks of getting my tattoo I sent my manager, her husband, and a coworker, and her husband to Cyle for tattoos. I definitely will recommend Cyle to anyone I know that is interested in a tattoo, and I will personally only be going to Cyle for all of my husband and I's...

Walked in with my sister awhile back, we wanted small tattoos of our constellations (leo and capricorn) The price was pretty high considering how small and simple they were (80 bucks each...) but I was definitely willing to get past that, because I understand that when it comes to tattoos you pay for what you get. The guy was pretty arrogant, but most tattoo artists are so, again, i was trying to get past this. I figured for 80 bucks and an artist with as much confidence as this guy, I was probably going to leave with at least a good looking tattoo.

The guy who ended up doing my tattoo (I dont think I even got his name, but he wasn't the same guy I first talked to) didn't ask me a single question about what I wanted it to look like, just heard 'leo constellation' and, I assume, got the first picture he saw off Google. He said probably two or three things to me total and I felt extremely uncomfortable the entire time. I wanted dashed lines, with little stars. I got wonky, definitely not straight, solid lines with lumpy dots for stars. I have severe anxiety and I wasn't able to bring myself to say anything. Which yeah I suppose it's my fault I got a tattoo I'm unhappy with, I should have said something, but even if the design was what I wanted, the actual tattoo job itself was pretty bad.

My sister got hers done by the guy we first talked to. Hers had dotted lines and little asterisk stars, and it came out much better than mine, and she had a better experience than I did, which is the only silver lining to that...

Two years back I came into the shop and explained what I wanted, including the placement and the scale of the design. Was given a quote and an appointment time.

When I showed up it was quickly apparent that in spite of having previously appearing attentive and involved, the 'artist' had instead just been blankly nodding along.

Instead of the expected full forearm piece I was presented with the grand plan to instead tattoo only a small portion of my design sketch (to tiny scale, no less) smack in the middle of my forearm. Nothing else of the rest of the design was even mentioned.

When I brought it up, pointing out the original design plan, I was told I'd never mentioned anything of the sort, but if I wanted the full piece the price would increase far beyond my original quote.

I elected instead to leave.

I'm not implying that there was a plan to inflate the price when placed on the spot or anything.

I'm just saying that if a tattoo artist conducts himself in such a way as to COMPLETELY space out and/or disregard a client's wishes on something being permanently etched into their body, then in my opinion they should be avoided at all costs.

Oh, and the repeated phone calls (with no message left) to my personal cellphone just after I'd left my feedback was a bit on the creeper side of things.

Next time maybe try leaving a voicemail instead of war...
