I know this is gonna sound weird but I didnt actually go here, but my wife ordered a meatball sub at a Subway far away from here but by the time she got back home she realized they completely messed up her order. So quick thinking made us think to call the next closest Subway, which happened to be the one right next to Waxhaw Escape. I tried and tried but this Subway never answered. My next thought was to try every shop around. First the paint store, no answer. Second the dominos, no answer, heck even worse, just left talking with a robot that made fake typing sounds everytime I answered a requiry. So my last and final attempt, I tried Waxhaw Escape. And there he answered, the GOAT Ken. I told Ken that I had a silly request and that I had an urgent message for the Subway next to them. I asked if theres anyway Ken could check in at the store and tell them if they could answer their phone, I even offered to pay Ken in Cashapp. Ken being so humble denied the payment offer but said he would check in on them and see why the Subway is slacking on their customer service. I was thanking Ken and said our goodbyes, and there I just waited minutes until I tried subway again⌠no answer. 5 minutes later I get a call from a number I dont recognize⌠IT WAS KEN. Ken told me that he personally dismounted the throne at his Escape building, went out of the building, and walked all the way over to that Subway just to see that there was complete darkness. Not a sign of life at this subway. So cold looking. (ken didnt say that but I wanted to) So there it is.. my mission was a fail, or so I thought. What was the real mission? I thought it was to get a new sub, but boy was I wrong. The real mission was the journey, and the journey brought me Ken, and since this I was gifted this camaraderie through the journey, I would say that this mission was everything EXCEPT a fail. So I would like to say, since I dont live near this location, please stop by and give Ken a hi for me and give this beautiful persons location some business.
Thank you ken!

Read moreWhen first coming to the Waxhaw Escape room I thought the place was going to be small, judging from the outside, but when I got in it was much bigger than I expected. The best thing about this escape place is the staff. They were so lively and fun from the second we walked in the door to the minute we left. Every other escape room I have been too has not had a staff that was nearly as invested as the Waxhaw Escape room staff in making sure we had a good time. I went here once with my family, and once with my friends. Both experiences were great! We did the train escape room and the Alice and Wonderland room. Both were fun and had multiple rooms to solve. My favorite was the Alice Wonderland escape room because it was visually pleasing and was super entertaining to solve. Every time I have been here there has been no problems with waiting for a room and no problems with the rooms being messy. I made an appointment each time I came. I love the energy in this place I would definitely recommend taking your family or friends here. I know I will definitely be...
Read moreI wish I could give more stars! Wait a minute... âď¸âď¸âď¸âď¸âď¸ We took the whole family on an epic 1200 mile cross-country rv roadtrip, solely to see Ken's Waxhaw Escape... We were beyond impressed. Ken's introduction to each of the rooms, as he colorfully adds some informative tidbits about the history of his town, which he is rightfully proud of, shine through. You feel like you are about to embark on a journey farther away than any RV can take you. The kids, ages 10,9 &8 were shot from a cannon and off they went racing through the rooms looking for clues like junior detectives. The look of awe and amazement after every discovery! The lighting, sound effects and the smart puzzles only sent us further down the "rabbit hole." Ken's attention detail is evident in everything he does. He, his wife Jean, and his staff, couldn't have been more courteous and at times patient lol. We are so impressed with Waxhaw Escape, we plan on opening an escape room of our own in Medicine Park, Oklahoma. Ken. Thank you for making my family feel like a...
