Ice Cream & Pizza Works — Restaurant in North Carolina

We had to wait a hr to pick our food up. We couldn't go in and pick up because it was curbside only. We had to call and they would bring out. Well needless to say we sat directly outside the door for 15 mins watching them do nothing. While we called back to back for our food. Finally they bought it out. We asked for ranch or marinade sauce, because we got calzones. And most places give u a dipping sauce for it, they told us we had to pay extra for it. The one girl went back in like she was gone get it for us, to only have another lady come out, with an attitude, with her hands thrown up, saying what's the problem? It wasn't a problem we just wanted dipping sauce! And we told her we was going to pay for it! She said we had to state when we placed our orders that we wanted a dipping sauce too... never heard of that no where else. Anyway... get home.... and our Calzones are not even cooked all the way through!!!!! A hr wait, poor customer service, and undercooked food!...

Staff was great. Went on a Monday night at 5 and were surprised to be the only customers. The young lady that served us was wonderful, sweet, and attentive. My boyfriend and I ordered a pizza each and it took about 45 minutes to receive which was surprising to see we were the only in-house visitors. There were a few Carey out customers that also waited about 20 minutes each. I am from the south and my bf a New Yorker , we both agreed it tasted like frozen or refrigerated dough. The cheese and toppings were amazing my but had nothing to stick to and simply fell off the pizza. Flour bottoms added a dry taste to your mouth. The dough / sauce was sweet and Unflavored (no garlic or butter ) disappointed in the pizza but willing to give other...

Absolutely delicious & Friendly Staff!!!! I can’t believe they have any negative reviews on here. We’ve been searching for a loooonnngg time for a decent restaurant around us and this place is amazing!!!! Spaghetti and meatballs were absolutely delicious and the garlic knots were the best I’ve ever had. And salad was fresh and amazing also. The server was extremely kind as I fumbled around on the menu and probably more than demanding with a 2 year old. So incredibly kind and patient. It’s also really affordable with everything we got.
