I love the stores mission and what they do for the community. But I'm all about customer service as well. While I was there one morning, a customer had accidentally broken a wine glass or something of that sort and the ladies who work there came right away to clean up. The lady who drop it kept apologizing ( I really think she felt bad about it) she even tried helping clean it up (which I know is a big no no). When the lady apologized one last time, the associate said (not nicely) "I've heard your apologies several times but theres a sign that says items are not priced." My mouth dropped. Even the other customer that was there looked at me in shock when that was said. In my opinion if you don't want something touched make the sign bigger or keep the items in the back. I know the store gets a lot of donations and it's hard to keep things in the back, but I also feel like this situation could've been handled better, especially with the meaning behind the store. This was my grandmother's favorite store before passing away we even donated a good bit to this store after her passing. I don't need a response to this, I just hope management reads this and learns from...
Read moreOver priced! all thrift stores are today. Aside from that i purchased a dress got it home and discovered the elastic was all stretched out. "Crackly" this is what elastic does when it's old. I took it back the following week to exchange for something else, not a refund. The clerk said oh yes sure go ahead and pick out something else. I spent almost an hour looking for something, anything that wasn't a "size 2" when i went to the counter to complete my business another woman who didn't speak directly to me but to the initial clerk who was assisting me " which I found tacky. Since I was standing right there! Anyways the exchange was denied for various reasons. My purchase was recorded on a card there so there was no question when or how much the dress was purchased. Point being the merchandise was damaged when I purchased and the store did not do the right thing. They lost a customer and I won't be back. They have a dressing room I suggest use it and look over the merchandise carefully because obviously they don't. I left the dress there, it was no good for me, the woman said " so you're donating the dress back" It was probably put back on the...
Read moreThis used to be one of my favorite places to go thrift shopping, and I like what it supports. Lately the prices have gone way up, and the quality does not meet expectation. I have purchased two pairs of shoes that looked very new, one for $20 that apparently had been stored incorrectly by the previous owner- the soles literally crumbled the first time I wore them. Had to throw them away, they couldn’t be salvaged at all. My daughter bought a pair of boots in the same price range, very cute with minimal wear. The soles started coming apart on her second wearing - they literally fell off. Can’t pay that much for something to get one wearing out of it. Also disappointed that many “nicer” or brand name items are priced about the same as sale prices at...
