El Vallarta — Restaurant in North Carolina

We have been going to this location in Waxhaw for years and years. Lately it has been hit or miss on the food or the service. Today four of us went for lunch and you couldn’t pay to get a smile from the servers. There is one woman who has been a server there Since time began, and I have never seen the expression on her face change. It has nothing to do with a language barrier. She just acts as if she doesn’t want to be there every single time and we are very good tippers each and every time! Today two of the people in our group ordered what might be something new on the appetizer menu, a dish of corn with cheese and queso on it, very similar to street corn. Rather than eat street corn off the cob, they decided to try this. both of the men said it was very watery as if they had just heated up a can of corn and poured it into a dish and added a little cheese and queso. This is something we easily could make it home if we wanted to… But we certainly don’t want to just heat up a can of corn at home and call it Mexican food. We couldn’t begin to count the number of times we have been here over the years but dozens and dozens and dozens, and we are rethinking our plans to go out for Mexican food next time. Even if all of the food had been great, it was a very disappointing experience with the disinterested servers. Their menu advertises table side guacamole, which they have not prepared...

Worst service ever like in waxhax ate here before many times wife has never been a fan, until tonight I have never seen such a disconnect on ordering food delivery and the order so screwed up around between drinks,appetizer,and main course. Everything was in waves of slow interact from start to finish. When begging to leave after begging for our correct order for the painfully embarrassing ordeal... had to wait another 20 minutes to find out there was no one around to process a public advertisement coupon. With time a concern growing about this confusion make credit card was lost. After informing my wife and to stay in car I can back to resolve situation and a young white female I noticed working the gave me plenty of attitude and grieve said she had my card for what reason I don't know but had plenty of comments to make rudely insulting over a coupon, I made it clear at this point I didn't care about the coupon just want to get my card back and pay the bill. Was insulted again. And never being at the bar why was this arrogant woman even involved along with 5 other people that didn't service me, but she made it very clear she could insult and demean me in front of everyone. I am a regular at this location and I have NEVER had any issues with service before. It is my favorite restaurant in Waxhaw. This was the first time in my life I didn't tip a waiter, and I usually tip 25%. Tonight at around 9:30 PM I went with my girlfriend and friend and had the worst service of any restaurant I've gone to. The server was a hispanic man with a tattoo on his hand. We bought guacamole and it was the most terrible I have ever received. The avocado was insanely chunky and it was super watery and had way too much lime juice and cilantro. I have never had any issues with guac in my life. I am not picky. When I told the server about the guac he was extremely rude and said he made the guac "fresh" and that we didn't know what we were talking about. He accused us of pouring water into it in an attempt to getting free food and then left while saying, "someone is going to pay for it." I will not be coming back here again. I have told my parents who come here on a weekly basis and tip extremely well and they will also not be coming anymore. On top of all this, he was rude all night prior to the guac situation. He kept ignoring my girlfriend and actually skipped her and didn't take her order when we ordered. She told me she thought he might be upset with us dating as an interracial couple.
