I stopped in during the day on a random Friday and was pleasantly greeted by both Julia, the artist, and her shop assistant. They walked me thru the process of taking old, beaten down silver dishes and powder coating them in vibrant colors to give them new life. What they've created are beautifully colorful pieces that highlight the ornate character of old silver and give you something to show off to guests who'll be amazed to learn this artwork's history. The best part is these pieces, which used to only see the light of day once a year when grandma came over for Christmas dinner, can now be used daily as artwork, jewelry dishes, kitchenware, or whatever creative way you choose. I would highly recommend checking out their shop the next time you're looking for a unique piece of decoration for yourself or someone you know. When I first stumbled upon this adorable shop I was mesmerized by the rainbow of colors...beautiful silver pieces such as trays, mirrors, vases, adorned in smooth, velvety paint...yes PAINT! My first thought was "Yikes, isn't that sacrilegious for grandma's silver?" But no, no, no...it is a brilliant idea and I quickly became hooked on the look.
