Tough to say but our days are done at the Muni. I've been going there since 2000. In the old building. Best popcorn in town. But due to the poor decision by management to tell us to leave for calling a waitress a derogatory name, we have ended our tour. I honestly told her "nice attitude" and she flipped. We were never asked our side of the story. You came to us at the bar, pulled the $24 tab away. Handed us a new one and told us this was our last beer. I will agree with you there. That was my last beer there ever. However, please watch your tapes and verify that your server took our glasses, without conversation (meaning without asking us if we wanted anything) and walked away.
People sitting by us were asked if I said what she accused and they all said no. They said I was rude and I'll take that. Yes I was. I perfectly said with my best voice "nice attitude" But the service was poor. All we wanted is to be transferred to the bar due to poor service. Bar tenders that we've known for years were apologetic and asking what they could do. Dave. Alan. Mark. We'll find ya!!!
The manager admitted there was nobody that could verify we said anything of the sort but her "hands were tied." Including the customer sitting directly next to us. I really hope that your management skills are in a building stage. Our muni sweatshirts purchased this summer will be returned.
Well. Our tab was $24 and some change. We tip 20% every time or more. I just submitted my financials for taxes and I've spent over $5000 year to date in there. My Uber bill to get there and home is a damn house payment every month!! We've brought family, friends, business groups and old classmates in there. Hell my daughter loves the place and she's 11. Don't judge. Place is great. But for a $5 tip we will never step foot in there again. Ever. Again nice attitude there super server. We wish you nothing but the best in your career. You lost a long time regular to a great establishment over $5 and a bold faced lie.
If you need us... we will be up the hill at the legion. Taco Tuesday...
Read moreThe food is definitely solid here, and that alone is a reason I continue to come back after all of these years. I honestly haven't had one bad thing off the menu, and I've eaten here dozens of times. And the servers here are very friendly and efficient. This establishment has one really big, big problem. You have an older man that usually closes the bar during the week (he was bartending last night: 08/14/25), he has been there for a long time, and I am truly shocked he hasn't been terminated. He is hands down, the rudest bartender I've ever come across. He's consistently in a terrible mood and rude to anyone and everyone who orders anything from him. I've had an abundance of bad experiences with him, so has my friends and family. He's disrespectful, short tempered and extremely dismissive. I've had him say misogynistic things to one of my best friends who was pregnant at the time, snap at my mother for ordering a drink at 10:15 [when they close at 11], constantly making rude remarks, and overall, he is just a mean person that does not belong in any position in hospitality/the service industry. He is an indelible stain on your business and I'm certain he has driven patrons away to never be seen again. Do your business a favor and get rid of the only thing that is keeping this place fully...
Read moreI’m not really sure what’s going on with this place. It used to be great! It’s in such a wonderful location and I do love Wayzata however, when we went there the other night after having a dinner elsewhere and wanted to grab a couple cocktails, we were less than impressed. The workers did not seem to enjoy being there. The energy was completely down. Why on earth would you not be playing some sort of music on a Saturday night around 8 PM? We asked the host to please turn on some music and they looked confused. One waiter said he thinks they play music during the day but not at night. Get a jukebox then?! I’m sorry, but if you are going to have a bar that you want people to frequent you have got to have the vibe right. Throw on some tunes! I’m not asking for a dance party but you have to have something lighthearted going on. It felt solemn and sad. Not to mention there was a drunk guy that kept coming up to our table and wanting to talk so it was very awkward and annoying. Trying to fist pump and high five, no clue who he was. We left after that. Sadly I won’t go here again. I think they changed post covid. Would love to see this place come to life again. I’d be happy to chat with a manager but I notice they don’t respond to the...
