I have only been to Quest Diagnostics twice and both times have been terrible experiences. This last time I came in already nervous due to my last experience with Quest, and was brought back to get my blood drawn and she seemed nice. When I got back there I paid and she started loosing for the vein, she first put on the tourniquet so tight that I began to lose feeling in my arm and she tried to find my vein. When she finally found it, she missed and dug around my arm for the vein and I twitched because I have a condition where I twitch uncontrollably and I was already nervous, she stuck me three times requesting that I keep my arm board straight and my hand spread and unclenched and she scratched me with the needle on the way out of my arm and I had blood all over my inner forearm. She then stepped out and request backup to restrain my other arm to keep me board straight again and she put on the tourniquet too tight once again, she stuck me herself another three times in that arm and dug around and left another scratch between the holes in my arm, the other woman restraining me then went ahead and stuck me again in the last hole that she had done and they finally got my blood. The second woman then left and only asked if I needed water until after she had looked up and realized that I was about to cry. The first woman said that it wasn’t so bad and that she could get me water. I said no thank you and proceeded to leave. I will never go back to another Quest Diagnostics again, I have bruising on the inside of my elbows and I have tender/not surfaced bruising from the tourniquets where they were too tight and my hands still...
Read moreUnfortunately you can’t give ZERO stars… after going to this location 5 times over the last 10 months for recurrent blood draws this is the last time. Today I went to get my routine (standing order) lab draw that I had scheduled weeks prior due to an upcoming appointment. I get called back and there are two phlebotomist in one of the rooms- one is taking information and the other is doing the lab draws. One of the ladies before I even could fully walk into the room says “we don’t have an order from your doctor.” Frustrated I clarified with her which labs and that my doctor put in a standing order which I have had no problem getting drawn weeks prior. The lady asks me to sit on a bench to the side of the lab draw area. As soon as I sit I can hear the two phlebotomist speaking behind my back. I contacted my doctors and they confirmed the labs were sent. 45 mins later the phlebotomist stated that I can purchase the labs thought Quest but it wouldn’t be covered my insurance due to no doctors order and then states since it’s been “more than 10 minutes” I would need to reschedule or purchase the labs through Quest. I opted to leave. There was no one in the lobby when exiting. I left there after waiting for a hour for no labs to be drawn…. And to be talked too behind my back. So inappropriate and I will be choosing somewhere else to get...
Read moreIf I could give less than 1 star I would. I will never walk through their doors again! My lab orders were sent by my doctor 3 weeks ago. I scheduled my appointment but still waited almost an hour. We, in the waiting room, could hear the phlebotomists laughing and visiting with each other. When the EXTREMELY RUDE person finally called my name she asked for my lab slip. I told her my doctor sent it the same day I scheduled with Quest. She rolled her eyes and told me to drive home to get it. I live in Aledo so I told her no. I called my doctor from her office and told them the situation. They re-sent the orders through "the system" and faxed them. 3 times! The phlebotomist kept telling me she didn't receive anything. She said if I could get my orders myself, she would draw my blood. I drove around the corner to the Dr's office and came back within 5 minutes. When I got back, I was then told I had to re-register and be put on the waiting list. They kept bumping my name on the wait list because she was mad. I have been here for labs 3 times and have never had a good experience but today was the final straw! I contacted my insurance company and made a complaint, not that it does any good. I will never go back, even if I have to cash pay...
