I could cry with excitement at how amazing my experience was at Summit Jewelers! I had an awful experience at another independent jewelry store with a custom ring. The sales associate was sweet and helpful while the owner of the shop was a complete arrogant @$$hole. The ring was sent back 3x due to it not being what I paid for. That being said I got my refund and left unhappy and discouraged. I visit Summit and the owner, along with 2 other sales associates, greeted me with such a positive vibe and attitude. I told them my past experience and they were understanding. Soon I was presented with trays of natural gems and stones in colors you wouldn't imagine! Just so beautiful! I was shown many settings and one just kept reeling, me in like a brainless carp...lol. At this point the idea of having a custom ring had left my mind because I didn't want the worry in my heart and mind of being disappointed with what I tried for prior. I ended up finding a setting that was similar to a design I had in mind along with the custom design. I eventually found the stone I liked and the setting that reeled me in was it. I was also pleased with the fact that they had better pricing than the last place and don't make you pay for cleaning, size adjustments, and stone tightening. I had the good fortune to be referred to Summit Jewelry Store recently by neighbors. When I first entered the store I was greeted by a couple of friendly staff people. When I explained that I wanted to see if my pearl ring could be repaired they quickly checked with the jeweler snd returned with some suggestions. After we decided on a plan I mentioned that my husband had been to the store recently also to look for a ring for me for our upcoming anniversary. I was shown the ring and a discussion ensued regarding which finger I planned to wear it on. Within a short amount of time we arranged to not only fix my pearl ring, which holds a great deal of sentimental value for me, but also to have a new ring sized and ready for me by our upcoming anniversary. Though we primarily worked with Stacy, who was kind enough to appraise a couple of other pieces of jewelry I had brought in, everyone we talked to at Summit was extremely friendly and helpful. What a wonderful hidden treasure! I don't know where to start. I live in Webster - close enough to walk to the shop but for some reason, I hadn't stopped in for many years, despite my penchant for fine jewelry. The selection is unlike anything I've seen across the country - and all nestled in this cozy refurbished 2-story home. It's actually a fun adventure to stop in. Candy and treats for all and a working fireplace for cooler days. They have cases and cases of every gemstone you could want, a huge variety of unique settings and unlike so many retailers now, they have plenty of friendly and very knowledgeable staff to assist customers. I also found their prices were reasonable. Best of all is that they can do custom work that so many jewelers can't or won't do anymore. Many of their pieces are one of a kind and are simply stunning. If that's not enough, the owner, Marty, is such an interesting individual who is not only a master jeweler and successful entrepreneur but also very philanthropic.
