Me (Tina) & Ken & our beloved furry cockapoo Hunter moved in Avalon WLB in October from Central Jersey this was Kens 1st choice at our age we wanted to be near the shore and we found our dream. When Ken took me to see the apartment it was occupied so we really couldn’t get an idea but we left the office sat in our car here comes Maria with her tablet and showed us the unit I was WOW this girl does her job well !!! We love her for that and been here for 5 months love all the shopping/ beach / people/ other furry friends along my walks in the community. I had the pleasure of meeting Samantha but works closer to home that community is lucky to have her in that office good luck Sam and welcome new comer working next to Maria & Kerry you’ll do great good luck .Now Kerry I don’t forget cause her beautiful twin daughters I had the pleasure of meeting at an event waffle party that hosted by wonderful host Kerry ,maria,Sam. My favorite was Halloween 🎃 event w a contest and our Hunter won 🥇. The office staff is so on top of packages that come in daily I get an email ASAP. Thank you I’m truly blessed to had found Avalon Court thank god your on google find an apartment too!!!! Looking forward to summertime so we can enjoy the pool/ BBQs in court yard. If the office ever needs my help w/ anytime like decorating or even helping others dog walking others getting the word out on next events etc ... I’m an email away. I have lived here for almost two years. The facilities are fantastic and well maintained. The leasing practices however, are below unscrupulous. I just received my second renewal. Last year's renewal was a rent increase of 12.5%. This year was another increase of 11.8%. If your goal is to prove you can increase your salary over 12% a year, than you will love this publicly traded trust. There is a good reason they are an S&P 500 member. In my time here, I have watched at least 7 neighboring families leave due to these high rent increases. I have not met anyone who has lived here more than two-three years. Making friends with your neighbors will very quickly turn into saying goodbye to them. Avalon has no problem with reeling in families and then displacing them in order to maintain a high profitability. As much as AvalonBay will boast of a friendly community, they are more interested in making money for their stockholders than creating a community. ( By the way, I'm sure the stockholders would never make a deal to live under the same...

I have lived here for almost a year and have had an excellent and beyond-expectations experience. The complex is beautiful and quiet, with a pool, courtyard with grills, and gym with up-to-date equipment. And it's only minutes from the beach! There are events such as a gift wrapping party before Christmas, pizza parties, hot dog lunches on Saturdays in the summer, a July 4th courtyard get-together to watch the fireworks, and more. The apartments are spacious and updated, with large windows providing plenty of light, and lots of closet/cabinet space; each unit has a full-size washer and dryer, dishwasher, microwave and garbage disposal (and, of course, refrigerator and stove.)

As importantly, I cannot say enough about the wonderful on-site maintenance staff (and their timliness - usually same day, even for low priority requests.) The same goes for the on-site office staff. Everyone is so helpful, kind and responsive.
