I'm 55 years old and just had the most incredible experience I have ever had shopping in my entire life. The incompetence level from this store is off the charts.
I was charged $2.50 for 1 tiny (8 oz.) can of tomato sauce that I have bought there many times for 40 cents. I tried to buy three and was charged $7.50.
I pointed out that the sauce was 5 for $2, not 2 for $5. The cashier, who spoke unintelligibly, insisted I pay her $7.50 for three sauces no matter how long I explained to her that three tiny cans of sauce cost $1.20, not $7.50.
I had to wait 5 minutes while the cashier called someone else in the store. The other employee said it was 5 for $2, but then demanded that I buy 5. I pointed out that I had bought a can of sauce for 40 cents many times and in the very same order I had bought a roll for 20 cents that was next to a sign that said 5 for $1.
I said the sign with the sauce didn't say I had to buy 5 just like I didn't have to buy 5 rolls. I then asked the price of 1 can of sauce because there was nothing on the sign, shelf, or can that said anything other than 5 for $2.
The woman argued and argued, saying I couldn't buy 1 can. I stormed out.
I have NEVER met dumber and more incompetent people. They have an IQ...
Read moreConstantly see items on sale that are past due, and the way they do it is by: 1) wash/scratch off the "sell by" date from items 2) put the new sticker price on the due date so as to hide the last due date. Much of the produce looks dusty (not covered in dirt from the farm soil), and God knows what health violations lurk behind the butchers counter. Made sure that I no longer return here for anything other than very last minute items with actual visible "sell by" dates. And forget about customer service, I feel bad for some of the employees that work there because...
