Extra Supermarket — Local services in West New York

I bought a few items and added a few that were on sale and when I got home and put everything away I looked at the reciept and realized that none of the sale items were discounted. I went back, spoke to the manager who said I was wrong about one of the items but probably right about the other one. We went to where the items were stocked and it turned out that the soup was fully stocked over the wrong price. So he moved the items and said they were in the wrong place. He gave me back 80 cents for the creamer that was scanning incorrectly but just said he was sorry about the soup. I work in customer service, and am a business owner, and for a person who patronizes the store every day, the right thing to do would have been to give the difference of the 5 dollars rather than to forfeit my business of thousands per year. But the cashiers (aside from the ladies at the customer service/ lottery area who are lovely) are not friendly, and rarely if ever even say hello to customers when they walk in and so I guess I am better off just spending the extra time to go to whole foods or food bazaar down the street from here on out. I live around the corner and have gone here almost every day for the past 6 years. I bought my place in the neighborhood and am invested in supporting the neighborhood stores and restaurants but this has definitely made an impact on how I see the store and whether I'll go back...

The supermarket is good but they is a lady that bag ur grocery n if u don't tip up her she throw u stuff n call customer names.i don't think that appropriate to do . all way tip her but today I didn't have change so she three my stuff like she didn't care . She also call us the alcolicos.that not her problem if we are or not. My son's n I work hard for our money n we deser to drink some beer here n there.that should concern her .if I see that lady there I just won't go in n find some other supermarket to do...

Went there early in the morning and I can tell that the staff are NOT morning folks. We received the most rude and obnoxious service only because I wanted to return an item that was purchased the night before. These people need some serious training in customer service. They forget that without the customer they would NOT have a job. We were ready to make additional purchases but with the attitude we got, FORGET IT!!
