S&S Skateland — Local services in West Plains

Our experience at this skating rink was negative from the very start. The staff at the ticket counter were short with us and rude. We then used the restrooms and the women's did not have any soap. We had brought in an open bottle of water and soda, unaware of the no outside food rule. Obviously we were in the wrong here, but instead of informing us of the rule and asking us to get rid of the drinks a staff member rudely demanded we throw them away within three seconds or she would kick us out. We did not argue, of course, because we wanted to be respectful of their rules, and had a member of our party throw them in the trash immediately. The staff member returned and continued to make comments about how they needed to actually be in the trash and not in a purse as the drinks were being thrown away. We did not have purses large enough to fit a bottle and were in the process of tying our skates. Later, I approached the counter to ask for the cue ball for pool. I had a water bottle and candy wrapper in my hand that I bought from their concessions. (the only trash can is across the building so I was going to throw the wrapper away on my way) An entirely different staff member told me i needed to throw both away. I told her I bought the water there, so she continued saying I needed to throw the wrapper away. I understand they probably have to deal with disrespectful customers, but my group had been nothing but respectful and gave them no reason to act that way towards us. It was around this time we decided it would be best if we left. The staff was in the process of kicking two young boys out of the building for what I'm assuming was misbehavior. They made them stand in the lobby next to the front door and call their parents to pick them up. The boys seemed to be asking why they were being made to leave but the woman continued raising her voice at them. The workers were extremely rude. Me and my friends were just wanting to have some fun. I had a bottle of water and I thought it wouldn’t be a big problem to bring it in since they sell water anyway. We were sitting down just about to put our skates on when a worker came over and very rudely told us to throw it away within 3 seconds or she would take it from us. We didn’t argue at all. I wouldn’t be upset if she just asked us nicely to throw it away. She walked away and of course we did as we were told and threw our waters away. She came back not even 30 seconds later talking to us rude once again telling us not to put our water back in our bags. She assumed that we did. We told her we threw it away, which we did. She then walked away without saying anything, not even a simple thank you. Later my friend went up to the counter to get a cue ball for us to play pool. At the moment my friend was holding a bottle of water and a candy wrapper that she bought from the concession stand. It was even a different worker from before, and she was still rude. She told my friend that she needs to put it in the trash. We ended up leaving a lot early then we were planning on doing before we got there. As we were leaving we even saw her yelling at a group of teenage boys for sitting at a table with having skates. One of the boys tried standing up for himself but ended up being kicked out. One thing I left out was a group of young girls got yelled at for standing by the door, instead of just nicely asking them to get away from it. The night was not at all fun like we...

I will not be coming back here because the workers gave us a broken key thing. To the lockers. And we left the key and all of our phones. And when we got the our stuff we took the key to the worker and she was extremely rude. And told us that we broke their stuff. And my cousin that is 18. Went to give the worker the key and she said that we was throwing their stuff around and said we wasn’t getting our money back. So we went to go outside to sit and wait for our ride and one of the other workers came out screaming at us and at one point got in my face and said we was very disrespectful and we wasn’t. we was trying to tell her we was calling parents. And there was a random kid sitting next to her making stupid jokes about us and she just laughed. And then told an another girl that they treat their customers with respect. And the worker had to walk us out to my mom’s car. And told us that they was going to call the cops on us. And then proceeded to start in on my mom. And then lied straight to my mom’s face.
