I will never go back to this place. I don’t care how well-maintained it is Because I cannot discredit that which is why you got the one star instead of the no star, which I would’ve given you. The owner I have to assume is has a terrible attitude. Because of my anxiety, I did look up on their website what I was supposed to be expected to pay however, you know the owner thought that it wasn’t appropriate to include the price of socks, which they required. Their website instead, they offer that information frequently ansked questions instead of providing factual information that might be relevant to someone who is coming to the facility. I went there for a play date with my child and I didn’t leave because I wouldn’t punish my daughter because she had a terrible attitude. I went in there and she explained that my daughter needs socks because she asked if I had socks I responded. She did not have socks and I asked if it would cost more money. She informed me it would so I said I had to go to the car and get more. Now the question asked me was did My daughter have socks. She didn’t tell me that they required adults to wear socks as well, even if they’re not participating so I had to make additional trip to my car. and it wasn’t the point of paying as it was that you your website didn’t provide me with that actual factual information that might’ve been relevant to my particular trip I prepared myself. However, my concern was you giving me attitude, trying to inform you guys for sanitary reasons, which I could understand. I’m so happy that they wanted to provide a clean environment. You could’ve done that with a little less attitude. After having to deal with her as acting like the customer service representative, I had to explain to my party. I’m sorry that I was confused or baffled. It’s just to me like I said I had done my research the night before the company provided me and unfortunately, I wasn’t equipped to go in there, and I felt really embarrassed because I have major anxiety, and I was depending on the company to represent them in a true fashion and not it in your frequently asked questions section. I’ll be honest with you when it comes to payment or someone providing information that is required I believe it should be common knowledge to the customer. On top of that on top of that, that was a private conversation that I was having with again my play date, but you inserted yourself into my conversation because you wanted to feel relevant and have an attitude for again no reason. At that point, our conversation was done, but you need to continue it. I went to go into your area and you’re like have a great day in a cocky way as if I was speaking to you I was not and I did inform the person that I did not want to speak to her no more because I didn’t I came for a play date and not to be harassed. That is my experience and it is not one I wish to encounter again so I will never go back. The only thing I want to clarify is, I don’t know if it’s actually the owner but they the person who was in charge did ring me out. They did go into an area and they did seem to be the only employee on this establishment which I guess is why they felt comfortable speaking to their...
Read moreWe absolutely love Shark Bay! It's the only place I've found in the area that is tailored well to under-3 kids. There are so many fun things to do and Jess is the sweetest! The toys are specifically suited for littles, so no climbing or choking hazards to be found. The whole place is carpeted and always spotless. We've been many times and we have never gotten sick after (unlike other indoor play places, we get sick immediately after!).
They do Books and Bubbles on Tuesdays which is included with admission, and always a blast. There is a little sensory play area with more STEM focused toys that suit the slightly older kids. They have a baby area with lots of soft climbing toys and baby friendly toys. There is a private nursing room and bathroom right off the main play area.
Socks are mandatory so bring some! If you forget you can buy them there. There is parking along the left side of the building and on the street. There is a cubby area for your stuff and a cafeteria space for snack eating outside the play area.
They are always changing around toys, I feel like there's something new every time I go. And we haven't yet, but I see photos of really cute hosted parties! This is a MUST visit if you...
Read moreIf I could give it a million stars, I would. I discovered SharkBay after I had my second son in 2023. We needed a fun and clean place for my toddler to play that was also safe for my newborn. We popped in one day and never looked back! The owner Jess is so kind, professional and amazing with kids! She leads STEM and culinary classes and PreK prep, which are amazing opportunities for my children to learn and grow! The other employees Rosie and Jess are equally kind and helpful, and my sons look forward to seeing them when we play! I appreciate that everyone must wear socks, and they even have them available for a small fee if you forget! The coffee bar is so delicious, and I appreciate that they have a small selection of snacks to purchase for my less-prepared days out with the kids!
Furthermore, the party packages SharkBay offers are AMAZING. I have never been less stressed than the party we had at SharkBay, and all of my guests had a blast! The playroom is so clean, and offers seasonal play spaces for the kiddos, which I love! I drive 35 minutes each way to enjoy this beautiful space, and if you’re a Rhode Islander you know that...
