The only reason this place is still in business is because it was the only hotel in town within walking distance to the James Ward Mansion. Caked on dust on the blinds, broken tiles and bathroom light not functioning, walls are thin (you can hear a cough in the next room and people walking above you), A/C was antiquated and on the fritz and language barrier with staff. Also, the elevator was in poor condition and we were stuck in there for 45 minutes, the front desk lied and said they called 911 for the fire dept but we confirmed with dispatch that we were the first call while in the elevator; the staff did this to avoid a fee. I have asthma and if not for that call WE made, I would have needed immediate medical attention. We also had to check in twice to stay in the same room, refill out paperworK, have copies made of our ID's again and provide our credit card again for incidentials which made no sense, I travel a lot and this was very unorthodox. The daytime front desk reception were rude and unapologetic and the nightime staff did not speak english and lacked proper training.
When we first walked into the place there was a nice retired couple in front of us complaining about how poorly they were treated and then stormed out of there. I read a review from mgt stating a week ago that they appreciate the feedback and would strive to improve which evidently is a complete falsehood. Extremely poor management. You'd be better off sleeping in your car. Avoid this place...
Read moreBooked 2 rooms for 4 nights week of Thanksgiving 2021. The first night, there was so much noise, we called the lobby from both rooms at midnight. Nothing was done, noise continued all night and we didn't sleep. The following morning, we went to the lobby where we learned that the noise was coming from a room above us where children ran the halls, stairwell and elevator unsupervised. While we were in the lobby speaking with the staff, two of the children came off the elevator alone. They looked to be ages 7 and 4 years old.The two ran across the lobby and up the stairwell and no one tried to correct them or stop them. The staff said they couldn't do anything and no manager was available. We called Best Western Corp for help and they told us to call the police. We asked if we could check out and were told we could so we left. However, my credit card was charged for the two rooms for 4 nights so I filed a dispute with my credit card company. I continued to call Best Western Corp and a record was establish to address the issues. I called them 2-3 times weekly in December up until Christmas and there was no resolution....just the run around!! Corp told me the staff at Westfield was not responding to the Corp offices. I would not recommend this place. It's a blemish on the town of Westfield. How can a business stay in business when no one can help the customers and they...
Read moreI recently had the chance to return to Westfield Inn, and I can’t say enough good things about my stay. Right from the start, the entire team, especially the manager, Dorota, made me feel incredibly welcome. Her kindness and attention to detail really set the tone for my visit and made a lasting impression.
The hotel's location is fantastic—close to lovely streets filled with shops and cafes, making it easy to explore everything the area has to offer. Plus, getting around was a breeze thanks to nearby public transportation.
The room I stayed in was just what I needed. It was well-equipped with everything for a comfortable stay, including a cozy bed that made it hard to get up in the morning! And it was spotless, which I truly appreciated.
One noteworthy aspect of my visit was that the elevator was out of order. However, the staff was incredibly helpful and assisted me with my luggage without any hassle. Their willingness to go the extra mile made everything smooth, and I didn’t feel burdened at all.
Thanks to Dorota and the whole team at Westfield Inn, my stay felt special. I was truly impressed by how they went above and beyond to ensure I had a great experience. I can’t wait to return, and I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a welcoming and...
