So, most places that "buy gold and silver" will also sell coins for the price of the metal. If nothing else, they'll sell for what the coin is worth.

I walked in to the store to him already being rude. He lied saying he was sold out of coins, even though there were several in the case right in front of me. I then found 3 silver dollars on top of a cabinet. 2 of which were sitting loose. Both were early 1900s coins. I asked about them. He first said " i'm not interested in talking coins this morning". Then he said he forgot those were sitting there. I asked how much he wanted for them. He said $25 each.

Here's the issue: my 1922 peace dollar which is ms66 is $35 or so. Silver price is about $14. His 2 "silver dollars" were very damaged, as well as not even being silver colored. They were the same color as pennies! Something not right here. Either way, I asked him if he realized he was getting himself a bad review.

His response "make sure you include in your review that you had a bad attitude"

So, let's see.. I offered $25 for both, seeing as their damage makes them worth about $10 each, honestly looked fake, and I still offered to buy them. He then yelled at me saying he's selling them as "antiques". Apparently I insulted him and was then kicked out.

I guess my beard and fat gut makes me look like a poor idiot. Don't worry. There's plenty of better...

The first time I went here I had a great experience. That being said....

I was in last week to ask about some repairs and sell some gold. I can honestly say in all of my 59 years I have never been treated so horribly by a business owner. I was floored by his outright nastiness. Rude is putting it midly. I am actually still in shock!

I'm sorry to say I will be finding another jeweler. He obviously doesn't want my business. Too bad really, I liked the vibe...
