Came to donate some stuff. Clothes, some small tables and an entertainment center. Boxes were all full to the top with clothes so no more could be added. We rang the buzzer. No one came. Rang again. No one came. Walked in, someone was there because I heard a phone playing a video but I didn't see them. Walked into the store, two employees seemed like they were arguing with a customer? Lot of yelling back and forth by employees throughout the store so it was immediately annoying lol. Employee tells me that someone will meet me back there, I just need to ring the bell and peek inside(I already tried that). I said okay and went back to the donation area. Had to hold down the bell and ring multiple times and someone came out. She told me the donation center closes at 5. I said "You have 5 signs out here saying that the donation center is open during store hours." She argued with me about it and I had to physically point out the signs. Then she told me "well no one is here to look at the furniture" I informed her that I was told that SHE was the one who would look at it. She said no and that someone will be here tomorrow at 10 and they could do it. I have a trailer and help TODAY. I came when the donation center said would be open. Overall, dingy, dirty building, useless employees, crap experience. Heading to Savers now to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBe careful.. I had to file a police report for an emotionally unstable employee who chased my moving car down and punched the windows of my car to tell me I have to ring the door bell to leave a donation. My mistake, but that's your reaction? Yikes. She clearly has no control over her emotions if something so simple illicited such an unacceptable response. Tried to contact a manager and she answered the phone. Refused to tell me her name. Refused to let me talk to someone else. Refused to talk out the situation. She was more interested in being louder than me and not letting me speak. (Again, no control over her emotions). Just protect yourself and know that she has not been held accountable for unprofessional and abusive behavior. I truly feel sorry that as an adult she cannot conduct herself in a professional manner. No more donations or support from me. Do better Salvation Army.
Update: nothing has been done to rectify situation. Regardless of their response below, noone has even tried to contact me. Once again, yikes Salvation Army.....
