NEVER EVER GO TO THE WESTFORD DOLLAR TREE STORE!!! I had a horrible experience with the staff. Both Store manager (male) and associate (female) acted like total lunatic. They would need some basic training on how to treat customers with some dignity. This is classic example how staff could bring very bad reputation to a store like Dollar Tree.

I bought lot of merchandise from Dollar Tree for a graduation party and went to return few unused items. First of all, when they saw me, the lady staff walked away from the cash register. When I told her on the need to return few items, she asked in the rudest way, “did you buy from this store? do you have original receipts?”. I calmly replied, “yes, I do”. Then the store manager guy came and asked the same questions in a much more rude way. Initially he said, “we don’t take any returns”; then he said, “I could take max 10 items”. I responded calmly, “I’m okay with that”. I gave 10 items to the lady staff that along with all Dollar Tree receipts I had (multiple purchases from this store and another from nearby town).
When I asked if that is Dollar Tree’s policy, this lunatic shouted at me “if you ask once again, I will kick you out of my store”. I was totally stunned with such a response as it was first time in my 40+ years of life. I then asked them to give back the receipts that does not belong to that store and they didn’t return me any.
I’m not sure if it was a pure racism (both staff were white and me being asian origin) or if both staff were on drugs or something else. Seeing lot of similar complaints from customers about this store, I’m really surprised that the regional/corporate management of Dollar Tree not...
Read moreAt first I couldn’t say enough about the new manager of this store. He has cleaned it up. Aisle are organized and stocked, waiting lines are minimal. That all changed this weekend. I ran in to get a holiday bag. The store is bursting with shoppers (which is a great sign) and employees adding stock and straightening shelves. I go to check out and see the line is 20 people (yes, 20) deep winding down an aisle and there is only one check out person. An employee walks by and I said can you ask the manager to bring another person up to help checkout customers? He said no, we are waiting for a delivery truck. We wait in line 20 min (still no delivery truck) and finally see the front of the line. The manager walks by and we tell him about the wait and tell him to look down the aisle as the line is still 20 people deep. He mumbles it’s the time of year and everyone is short staffed and walks away. Again there are at least 3 employees who are in the store not checking people out who could be called up to help clear the line. When we finally get to the cashier, the manager walks up, without looking at me, says to the cashier, if people start complaining tell them to leave, we don’t need them in our store! He walked away, then came back a said it again very loudly this time. I was stunned, what kind of management style is this? How is he teaching good customer service to these over worked and under paid employees? Lastly what!? What kind of store manager would insult a customer? What a jerk, you better believe that everyone in line heard him and made comments that they would go else where, including me. So sad to see someone become a total jerk...
Read moreIf there was negative rating, that's what I will give to this store simply because of ONE employee. Resident of Westford here, and I always preferred going to Westford store instead of Dollar Tree in Acton or Groton (both close by). Had very bad experience because of one store associate "Jessica". She was extremely rude when I went to return some merchandise bought just a day back. I was not even asking for refund - I was buying 3 times more merchandise in exchange and the return was unopened/with original receipt. The entire transaction was a nightmare. I would have tolerated reluctance over returns but Jessica was extremely rude and clearly racist and she behaved in very insulting manner in front of my daughter. The part which angers me the most, my teenage daughter got a glimpse of racism - thanks to Jessica (at Dollar Tree, Westford - 06/29 @ 8:45PMET), now my daughter will never forget this experience and probably got her mind polluted with racist behavior forever.
