Good service and ambience, but let's be honest... the lackluster food is not worth the price.
I ordered garlic bread rolls, cheese ravioli, limoncello mousse cake, and a coffee-based cocktail.
Garlic bread was delicious. Would recommend. No complains.
Cheese ravioli was a disappointment. Sauce was very tart, one-noted, and lacked depth of flavor. The presentation was awful. Extremely lazy garnishing compared to their pictures online. Minimal basil, and where's my beautifully shredded parmigiano cheese?? Look at the picture for yourself. This meal is goopy - not worth $17 by any means. Not recommended.
The drink was appalling. There was no garnishing again first of all. Secondly, I stopped drinking it, because I thought I was going to get sick. No where in the description did it mention a dairy product, but it was very visible that something was curdled in the drink. Solids were coagulated and separated from the liquid within 5 minutes - absolutely repulsive. Waste of $14. Not recommended.
Didn't get a picture of the limoncello mousse cake, because at this point, I was very displeased and ready the leave. The cake itself was okay, too sweet. Blueberry puree was absent from the meal. If it was there, this dessert would've been balanced, but I can only judge what was on the plate. Server didn't even mention anything about not having blueberry puree before I ordered (because then I never would've ordered this). Nor did she mention anything till I explicitly asked... Therefore overall, this meal was incomplete and too sweet. Not recommended.
TL;DR - If you want a good date meal or are a foodie, then this place is not where you want to go. They overpromise and underserve. Spend your $120 for a meal for 2 elsewhere, because this place is lazy and lacks finesse. Decent service and good ambience, but the poor food and drinks is...
Read moreTo start my party had reservations for indoor dining. When we arrived we were told there was only outdoor seating. The hostess informed us that a large party had been booked at the last minute, taking up a portion of the restaurant. We had guests in from out of state, everyone was hungry and we were told there were heat lamps outside so we agreed to the outdoor seating. There was only one heat lamp, it was not near our table and it was one of the first colder nights of the season so I grabbed a coat from the car. Additionally, it was after 6 PM and we were sitting at a table with no lighting near it. It took a while to order drinks, tables that ordered after us received their drinks before us and only some drinks ordered were brought to our table. Those that ordered wine were told glasses needed to be washed. By the time we received our dinners it was dark. A member of our party asked about availability inside and a table opened up so we were able to move inside. I overheard a waitress remark about why we were sitting there. Some enjoyed their meals, others not to their liking. A couple of days later I realized I left my coat there. It was an expensive brand so I had some concern. I went back for the coat and it was not there. I left my number in case it showed up. I’m hopeful it will be returned though it’s been over...
Read moreI entertained a party of 20 for my daughter’s baby shower at Evviva Trattoriaon Sunday afternoon. Everything was FABULOUS! Restaurant manager Paul Carney communicated with me for several months before the event making several welcome and helpful recommendations.
We were perfectly accommodated on the patio and started with assorted crostini’s as the ideal beginning. Then came three beautifully presented artisan green salads tossed with mozzarella balls, cherry tomatoes, cucumbers and a very light dressing to wake up our tastebuds.
The best recommendation Paul shared with me, and I will pass on to you, is the Orecchiette. A few of us had never had this dish before and it made quite a first impression...delicious is understating it! The Chicken Parmigiana was remarkable, as well, even if everyone’s had that before. Compliments to the Chef...the chicken was moist and there was just enough cheese without smothering it.
Our server, Mia, had her hands full waiting on a party of 20 by herself, but she did it masterfully with a smile for 3 solid hours...a true professional!
All in all, Evviva Trattoria, Westford hits the trifecta with relaxing ambience, great food and...
