In the end I am extremely happy with my wedding dress and manager Jemoun and alterations person Sharon, went out of their way to make things right and the dress it AMAZING, thanks to them. I will explain how awesome they were in the end and saved the day later on in this review. It was a rough road to get to loving my dress.Trying on dresses, salesperson very nice, professional and helpful. Dress was very low in the back but she told me alterations could make a modesty panel that would raise the back of the dress so it wasn't so low. Dress came in quickly. Alterations person said they can't do a panel to raise the back but could do a corset. It was very expensive but I thought if that does the job, great! Young man was pleasant and I thought all would be fine. But it was a long line of problems after that. Dress way too big in the top and waist, they tried to take it in but when I came back the next time to try it, it still was too large. They tried again and it was better but not great. (later learned they'd ordered too big of size) Thought I was stuck with it. No suggestions of any way to fix it any better were given. Didn't know corset would be bright white so made lace on the dress that was I thought white look mismatched to the corset. Bustle was extremely hard to fasten. Took alterations person over 20 min to hook it. I took it home, was very upset because it did not look good and called the manager, Jemoun, the next morning. BEST THING I COULD HAVE DONE. SHE WAS AMAZING AND SAVED MY WEDDING DAY! She said sounded like the dress had been too big to start with and ordered me a size smaller. When I put it on it fit almost perfect already. They took in a tiny bit but not much and it fit. She said they CAN add material into raise the back. It was beautiful. They used net that matched the dress and the lace from the size 10 and made a beautiful scooped back with lace and pearls on it to match the rest of the dress. When I sAid how difficult the bustle was to do and I asked if they could just make loops to put my hands in to pull up the train to dance and they said YES we do that all the time. NO ONE told me at the first alterations visit that was another option. Only told me about the bustle, which not only is difficult but very expensive. So the problems were with the sales person ordering too large a dress and the first alterations person not catching that and not telling me about multiple options for other things such as raising the back of the dress.. This person was very nice but I think needed experience and more training. I learned there is a LOT to this whole thing. So Jemoun came into the alterations department and stayed the whole time while the new smaller size one was marked and gave her expertise and guidance to me and the alterations person. When i came back to get the dress, Sharon in alterations who is very experienced was there and she had been the one to make the amazing new "back" in the dress to raise it. WOw it was beautiful. So complicated, it took a lot of skill to do it.. She also checked to be sure all areas of the dress now fit perfectly. She didn't have it done yet due to being so complicated but she kept working that day for about 4- 5 hours while I waited until it was finished. Very few people would have the expertise with alterations and sewing to have accomplished what she did. I am very thankful to her. Jemoun made all this happen so kudos to her! When I called to complain she had listened and found a rapid solution. She credited me a good portion of the alterations because many of them I shouldn't have needed or could have done something simpler. She was the one who helped the other alterations person that was less experienced and designed the back of the dress. What a gift she has for designing. Her expertise, professionalism, friendliness and manger skills allowed me to become a VERY satisfied customer of David's Bridal. She is a huge asset for the store. I can't say enough good about Jemoun. Everyone at the store was very nice, just some...
Read moreI just had the most amazing experience with Chelsea from this specific Davidâs Bridal store. I was looking for a dress or separates that had a high back and front with sleeves. It also couldnât have a sheer chest or back area. I realize how difficult this is to find in a wedding dress and Chelsea was so patient, attentive, and kind. Unfortunately, I didnât find a dress here but I will be sharing my experience with my friends and will encourage them to see Chelsea. She even wished me luck in finding a dress that would be right for me. Clarissa was also there and she too was terrific and even gave me recommendations! I asked for Chelseaâs information before leaving this store so I could leave her a review. 25 min prior to arriving at this location, I was at the Aurora Davidâs Bridal location. The difference in my experience with Chelsea and Clarissa compared to the other woman from the Aurora location was like night and day. I spent a very short period of time in the Aurora location and ended up asking to try on 1 dress. This woman was free but said she had to stay at the front desk which is totally understandable. Upon arrival, I told this same woman my budget was $800. Since then, she was dismissive. I ended up asking another worker for some help and she said okay (and actually seemed helpful) and then went to the woman at the front desk to see if I could try on the dress. That same woman at the front desk acted like it was a favor to me that she allowed me to try on said dress. She even stated âwell I guess since itâs just 1 dress, you can try it on.â I didnât need assistance because I knew Iâd be able to zip it myself. I was able to put the dress on without assistance but I didnât like it. I saw a few other things I wanted to try on but I didnât want to stay in the store because of the terrible customer service. To be fair, I didnât have an appointment. I did not expect anyone to assist me but I did expect to be treated kindly at a minimum. I just wanted to browse around and try on some dresses by myself without help. Again, the store was not busy and there were workers that were free and walking around the store.
I drove to this Westminster location and was immediately greeted by Clarissa who asked if Chelsea could assist me. She had me sign in and I told her my budget was $1000. I honestly already felt bad because I didnât have an appointment and I thought it was common practice to be dismissed if I didnât have an appointment and if my budget was too low or something.
I was wrong. Chelsea was attentive from the start. I honestly felt bad because none of the dresses I tried on worked and Chelsea kept helping me. She didnât make me feel like a burden. She literally walked around the store multiple times and kept bringing me items. I told her I was looking for that certain style because I was wearing religious garments. She didnât treat me like some weirdo after mentioning that. She kept trying to find something that would work for me. She even sat outside the door while I tried items on. I didnât need help with zipping or buttoning and she seriously just waited outside the room for me and kept helping me. I came in to the store saying I wanted to spend up to $1000 but with Chelseaâs awesome customer service, I wouldâve spent any amount of money. Iâll recommend Chelsea and Clarissa over...
Read moreVery disappointing. I did not feel like my dress or my needs were a large priority to them. I selected my dress during my first fitting which I shared with a friend of mine who is also getting married this year. I left that appointment feeling somewhat over shadowed and like my appointment was rushed while my friend was fussed over with great detail and care. She told them her budget was about $1000 more than mine which made her the priority. So I did not feel as valued but rather somewhat brushed aside because I had a more conservative budget. It should be noted that my friend ended up going with a dress from another boutique all together while I really did love the dress I had chosen and so did end up deciding to stick with this store. The second fitting of my dress did go much better and I felt more comfortable with my selection. I was told that there was a small tear in the back of the dress that would need to be mended and we had discussed sewing a lace appliquĂ© to the front of the dress as my only real concern was the dress was very low cut and I am a more modest bride. I was told these alterations would be made in two weeks and that I would receive a call when my dress was ready for pick up. It should be noted that I wasnât ordering a dress in from another location. The dress I had bought was the sample dress in the store that happened to fit me almost perfectly which is why I had been told it would be ready within just a couple weeks. After three weeks of not hearing anything I called just to check on the status of my dress. I was told to give them just a minute and they would âcall me right back. â I waited 4 hours and then decided to check in again. I was told that they were âvery busy and understaffed and the alterations department wasnât even open today and that [they] would for sure call me back [they] promised.â I wasnât impatient or rude with them at any point (I work in customer service and understand when things are chaotic) but I did feel I had once again been brushed off and that my order was not a priority for them. I waited ANOTHER WEEK (4 weeks in total from original purchase) before calling them Again to check on my order. At this point I was told that my dress was done, that infact it HAD BEEN done, and that I could come pick it up at any time. I did so only to discover that the lace paneling we had discussed had not been done at all. And that the tear in the back was not repaired. As far as I can tell, no alterations had actually been made whatsoever even though I had been told that the dress had been completed and was just waiting for me to come pick it up. I very much felt like just a sale. No communication was ever initiated by this location after the sale was made. When my dress was late, I was never called, nor was it ever explained to me why none of the elements that had been discussed were done. A little care for myself and for my wedding dress would have been appreciated. I know this day is only special to me, but it would have been nice if I had been allowed to feel like my dress was important and that it wouldâve been well cared for by the shop. I will be getting my dress repaired and altered at a place where I feel my...
