Out of all the places I never thought I would have a bad experience at a TARGET!! I love going to target but this location really screwed up.
So here’s the story. The other day I went to target in Lakewood, only because I was at the mall already. I was looking to buy an Apple Watch and I figured what the heck I love Target I might as well buy it from there. So I look around the store I buy what I need take it to the Verizon store to have it activated come to find out I can’t be done. they say take it back to target.
So me living in the area of WestMinister I take it back to my local target, which is the one located in the Westminster mall. I get there and I go directly upstairs to speak with someone in the tech department. I’m waiting no one’s there so I press the button for someone to come, the guy shows up and I told him what had happened let them know that I couldn’t activate it at Verizon I don’t know what’s going on. he says, without even trying to help, sorry I can’t help you and sends me away. So I go downstairs to The guest service to see if they can help me out since the person in the tech department could not help me out with my technical needs.
Upon arriving I wait for someone to help me as soon as I walk up to the desk I let the lady know that I had recently bought my Apple Watch at another store and When I went to go activate it Verizon could not because target didnt release the MEI number. so I asked if she could help me because the tech department wouldn’t help me.
Without a flinch she automatically said I’m sorry I can’t return the item. I told her I didn’t want to return the item. She then said, well sorry I can’t exchange it. I said are you listening to what I’m saying I don’t want to do either of those things. I want to keep my watch I just need you guys to release the MEI #. she said I’m sorry I can’t help you here and sent me away.
So far this was the worst experience that I’ve ever had at a target. Needless to say that I will NOT be going to this location UNLESS I’m in dire need and this is the closest one to me...
Read moreThis is one of the worst Targets in the area. Since the store spans multiple floors, the layout is very different from most other Targets, which makes it extra difficult to find the items that you need. There are obtrusive pillars that jut out all across the main walkways of the bottom floor, which makes shopping with a cart here very inconvenient and claustrophobic. On top of that, their online inventory is not kept up-to-date, as an item that was advertised as in-stock at this store in the app was completely sold out.
The worst part about this Target is that the shopping carts lock up if you go out of range of the store. However, the allowed range is stupidly short and only spans the first 2 parking rows closest to this store on the upper floor. This means that if you park in the 3rd row or farther, your shopping cart will completely lock up, and you’ll have to either bring your car around to unload the cart or carry all of it by hand the rest of the way to your car. This happened to us today, and when asking the security person for help, they just told us that they won’t unlock it for us and to bring our car around to where the cart locked up to unload it. Unbelievable. What a dumb, anti-consumer policy to have such a strictly small range for the shopping carts to go when there are dozens of parking lot rows outside of its range. I will not be coming to this Target location from now on, and I strongly recommend that others...
Read moreThere were two younger employees located at this target who made me feel very uncomfortable and were very unprofessional when I was returning my cat & jack items. I understand it’s extra work to go through receipts but I asked numerous times if there was anything else I can do to make the process simpler and instead of just having a positive Attitude and helping politely. I was made fun of by the other employee and the young lady came over and began speaking Spanish without knowing I spoke Spanish and could clearly understand what she was saying. My recommendation is if you don’t want to help customer why get a retail job where the whole idea is to help customers. She also was behind the customer service and return desk and placing bins on top of her head and making jokes which I know they are young but it was just very unprofessional and I shouldn’t have to be made feel less of when target provides those accommodations for family since we spend large amounts of money of children clothing. I just hope both of those young lady’s learn to treat other as they would like to be treated because if it was a family member of theirs I’m pretty sure they wouldn’t appreciate that type...
