MiniLuxe Westwood — Local services in Westwood

Mini lux is typically my go to place for a mani and pedi that will last , that being said this location will not be my go to. Went to the Westwood location because it was the only location that had an appointment available when I needed it , it was my first and last time visiting this location. I got a French mani and pedi and after 1or2 days the nail polish started to peel and chip on multiple nails ( and I was being careful not to use cleaning products etc ). I contacted the salon and they said I could come in and get it fixed, but it would have to be tomorrow. I appreciate that I could do this but having the time to get my nails done to begin with is a luxury never mind finding a time to go get them fixed. I would just be getting back and most likely won’t be able to, and that’s saying I could get an appointment that works the same day too … all around just really disappointed I spent $100 before tip on a mani pedi and it didn’t last. The Stars are for the amazing lady that waxed me, she was nice and friendly and professional, she took great care of me. As for the pedicure, I don't know how to feel about this. Paying $90 for something that feels and looks like a basic pedicure is crazy. Even charging an extra 10 for gel polish removal is insane. It was my first time here so I thought I was paying for a premium treatment, the massage didn't even last 1 minute, I can't believe they charge 90 for such service or is it because of the mist they sprayed on my face or the ointment on my neck? I'm so disappointed. And to make it worse I had to leave a tip even though I wasn't satisfied with the service or else I would be a bad person. The tip was for the waxer honestly I am totally disappointed, people these days just only care about the money and not good service or being honest about what they do, they even tried to charge me extra for callus removal even when callus removal is included in the $90 pedicure. Such dishonesty...

Miniluxe was a bit of a let down which is a shame because the place is so cute! I had a great experience, the staff was super helpful and genuinely nice. I got a mani pedi, with their special nail polish that is supposedly a regular polish that wears like a gel. The polish literally chipped the next day. They have a 7 day no chip policy so I was able to come back to have my manicure fixed for free which is nice. They also let me pay extra to get my polish swapped for a gel (again kudos to their awesome customer service). My gel manicure was done a bit hastily and rushed (which is understandable as it was basically free) but was still a little frustrating to pay for a so-so job. Again, the service is amazing but truly it is SO expensive for what you get. You are much better off going to your old school nail salon and paying less for a top notch manicure. I would not return...
