UPDATE 3/21/25: The Point has suddenly ended valet trash service, one of the few amenities still available to residents. Despite premium rents, living conditions continue to decline.
My experience living at this apartment complex has been far from satisfactory, especially under the new management. The new team made some efforts, as expected, to freshen things up when they first took over, but they appear to lack a fundamental grasp of basic cleanliness standards.
There are multiple piles of dog waste found outside the building on a daily basis. Littered trash is a constant problem on the property. I've had to submit multiple requests for dead rodents and other hazards, like broken glass and rusted hardware, to be cleaned up after they've been left unattended for days in areas that should be regularly monitored or accessed. Additionally, despite being advertised as a nonsmoking facility, the reality is quite the opposite. Residents regularly disregard the rules, including smoking in common areas like stairwells and right outside the building, leaving behind cigarette butts that litter the premises. Additionally, the valet trash pickup service, meant to streamline waste management, only adds to the inconvenience, as trash bags pile up in the hallways daily. The place constantly smells because of the trash, smoke, and urine/feces in or surrounding the complex. The lack of cleanliness is appalling and the lack of proper maintenance contributes to an unsanitary environment for myself and my pet. Management's response to these issues is constantly disappointing. Attempts to communicate these issues to management often leave tenants without solutions. Cleanliness is only addressed when prompted by maintenance requests, and even then, the efforts are insufficient.
This apartment complex falls far short of the luxury living experience it promises. Instead, it poses serious health and sanitation concerns for its residents. This place is not worth recommending, and judging by other reviews, itâs evident that I am not alone in my dissatisfaction. Save yourself the trouble and find a different place to live.
EDIT (10/18): Since my initial review, not only have the same issues persisted, but the property management's dismissive attitude has made things worse. The property manager insists that dog waste on the property is not a problem. She even told me, in writing, that she personally inspected the grounds and found zero waste. When I received this email, I went and quickly walked the property myself and counted 23 piles of waste in 10 minutes, which I documented and sent back to her as proof. Despite this, she continuously ârespectfully disagreedâ that it was an issue, showing a complete disregard for the state of the property. I had to repeatedly request contact information for the regional manager. When I finally escalated the issue and brought the 23 piles of waste to his attention, I was shocked by his response. He implied that 23 piles were not enough to be considered a problem and showed no concern for the lack of effort from the onsite staff.
Additionally, maintenance requests are frequently marked as 'complete' without the work actually being done, in regards to the dog poop and other issues inside the buildings. I have photo evidence of this as well, with time stamps. The frustration, stress, and anxiety caused by these unsafe and unsanitary living conditions have significantly impacted my quality of life.
To make matters worse, while all these negative experiences are happening, the complex is attempting to wrongly increase my rent. They claim I didn't sign my lease renewal on time, but I have proof that I did. If I have a copy, I am unsure as to why they donât. It has taken 5+ emails, with the first 4 being ignored, to try and get this resolved. The staff is not only unequipped to handle basic management tasks but also unwilling to address the comfort and safety of their residents.

All of the other amenities that were used as selling points to get residents to move in have either never worked or been slowly phased out - the gold simulator, the package rooms, the beer tap, the outdoor firepits. Further, the only two days a week where there isn't trash service, trash piles up on the property. This is going to exacerbate the unsanitary conditions. Residents are paying a premium for an extremely poor quality living situation. Do not move here.
Cleanliness and care of the property have significantly decreased since new management took over. The outdoor space is littered with trash (dumpsters are put out front every morning and trash blows all over the place), there are cigarette butts everywhere (non smoking complex), and residents leave dog poop all over the place that seems to go unnoticed by management. The "valet trash pick up" causes further problems because residents leave bags of garbage in the hallway for days at a time that are not picked up and the rotting smell fills the hallway. There are ash burns in the stairwells and they constantly smell of smoke and urine. The amenities such as the beer tap and golf simulator have not worked once since moving in over two years ago despite being used as selling points in the initial tour. Management consistently gives same response that they are "working on" issues but never gives details or a true resolution (I understand the leasing office doesn't always have control, but the robotic answers only make the issues more frustrating). The Point is the furthest thing from a "luxury" apartment complex and you absolutely will not get your money's worth by living here. I do not recommend The Point.
EDIT IN REPONSE TO OWNER: Yes, the new management team did one deep cleaning of carpets and painted common areas upon taking over the property. The leasing office has worked very hard to resolve the package room issues. The staff in the leasing office is friendly and I have no issues with them individually. However, the regular daily upkeep of the premises has declined in comparison to the previous owners. There are dozens of cigarettes in front of the building every few days that are not cleaned until a service request is put in, and the same goes for the dog feces. I am tired of putting in service requests so regularly for issues that should be easily seen and resolved autonomously. Only the areas around the main building appear to be monitored regularly. Further - yes, there is an additional issue that I did not mention in my initial comment that has added to my disappointment in this property: the floor I live in is filled with visible smoke coming from one unit on a weekly basis that seeps through the doors and enters my and several neighbors' units. It happens on weekend evenings when nobody is in the leasing office so there is no way for the residents to alert someone in real time, and our time off from work can't even be enjoyed because our living space smells like smoke and we have to stay in our bedroom with the door closed...
Read moreUpdate : I'm coming to a close with my lease. My final take away with Mio has been far from desirable.
The building was only built roughly 2 years ago and it's falling apart rapidly. Settlement cracks are growing at an alarming rate. Multiple days I'll enter my apartment and it will reek of trash/sewage coming from the air vents. We have received two poorly written notices (in a scolding fashion to the tenants) within the past week about sewage backups. Maintenance has had to come out twice recently due to no hot water (a part of the water heater wasn't working). When I initially moved in (brand new apartment) they had to replace some piping in the ceiling due to poor construction of the bulding. The walls are painted with a flat finish meaning if you touch it with anything on your hand it won't come off and scratches VERY easily.
I've had packages stolen, one woman from the leasing office was nice about the situation but she then went to her superior and her superior was just flat out rude and dismissive in regards to the subject "you need to contact the police department. We have no control over it". Apartment often smells of smoke even though it's smoke free. Stained carpets in the hallway/stairs. You can hear your neighbors through the floor/walls. Absolutely no parking for visitors and if they do park, they will tow them.
For my renewal, they increased the rent by 25%. Everyone I've discussed this with has agreed that's an absurd increase for the area . Especially for the current condition the apartment is in.
Even if they had kept the rent the same I was absolutely not going to renew.
If you are looking into living here,...
